    Good Works Tractors is happy to be sponsored by Rim Guard Solutions! This is perhaps the most well-known ballast brand on the market today. Rim Guard goes right inside your tires, so it's out of the way, it doesn't freeze, and doesn't corrode. It's made from natural materials, so it's safe around livestock and pets if it spills out. Rim Guard liquid ballast adds more weight to the back side of your tractor improving stability, loader performance, and power to the ground. Find your closest dealer at bit.ly/3d0whX0

    Straight extensions do not take away torque when using a torque wrench. Torque wrenches apply constant torque. When using an impact wrench, the extensions will take away some torque due to it being a cyclic torque application. "Torque sticks" flex more at different torque limits, allowing a user to "torque" with an impact. This is a hot topic among Technicians, however what I shared is proven truth. Do not add to your torque spec when using a straight extension on your torque wrench

    I've said it before, and say it again, would love to buy a stump wrecker to ship to Canada. I could really use one. Talk with the JUFabworks folks and/or your UPS account manager. Do direct ship quotes, it'll be expensive - but that's up to the customer to figure out if it's worth it.

    • @GoodWorksTractors
      @GoodWorksTractors  Год назад +3

      I’ve quoted shipping to Canada several hundred times. Not a single sale. I gave up. It is not worth all of my extra time for such a low probability of a sale. I wasted tons of time doing so and it’s not something I’ll continue to pursue. I’m currently looking for a Canadian distributor. That is likely the best path forward.

      Set yourself up a mail drop in a US border town. Have Courtney ship your toys---err---gear there.
      Cross the border and pick it up. You will have to pay taxes to bring the items into Canada... You do need to take the exchange rate into account.
      How do I know this?
      I am a satisfied customer in Canada.
      Courtney gives good follow up service as well.

      @@GoodWorksTractors you really shouldn't have to single quote every order if you get it setup on your website properly. You plugin the API from your UPS account to your shopping cart system, and it works just like US customers in the checkout system. Let people decide if they want to spend $200+ to ship a stump wrecker. But I get it, people get sticker shock for manual requests.. hope you find a distributor in Ontario soon (makes the most sense to bulk ship there from where you're at)

      @@knurles so not true. I can think of so many examples of needing something but not having time, money, access, etc, and making due without until I could. Wanting something is deciding if the cost to make life easier is worth it.

      @@carlstrohm3785 soooo in the event that you didn't have it you did the job with out it and got the job done and still don't have it? So did you need it? I think you have this backwards what you described as needing something is wanting it. Not having the time or money or access so you made do and got by the whole time thinking man I really want this xyz. I really want a skid steer but I only have my compact tractor. You made a choice that you did not need the skid steer and you made it happen. That's by definition wanting. Now you got to the point that you're breaking the tractor and you had to go out and finance the skid steer. That's need. So again if you need it you'd already have it

      @@knurles you don't have all the food you'll ever need and unless you're dead, you'll want more. Nowhere in my comment did I say I completed my tasks without. Some had to wait. Others I paid someone more than it would have cost me to do myself because I couldn't do it when it needed to be done, like while recovering from shoulder surgery and the wife cut a tire sidewall. We all have wants, like a 20 dollar burger when we're hungry, but only having 10 bucks at the time and need to eat anyway, so you get an 8 dollar meal at Taco Bell instead. There are very few true needs in life when it comes to "stuff". If you have unlimited income you only need a bank card and you can pay for everything you need as it comes up. It's all perspective my friend. And if you're being honest, you know damn well you own stuff you wanted but didn't need. Most if us do. I'm just saying...

    • @knurles
      @knurles Год назад

      @@carlstrohm3785 oh food is a great example. I don't have all the food that I will ever want but all the food I've ever needed I have already bought. Or I'd be dead or maybe just ill that illustrates my point so well. If you needed it you already have it. If you want it you don't. But notice the logic there deals with you can surely have things you wanted but didn't need. A 20$ burger etc.
      This is the nature of fixing spending problems is defining needs vs wants. Maybe you mow 10 acres of lawn around your house and if you did that all summer with a push mower you'd have to quit your job so you want a zero turn with a huge deck. But do you need a 10 acre lawn. Maybe you do need a 10 acre lawn because you live in an HOA and they require it mowed and the only way you can wrangle it is an expensive zero turn. But maybe you're just uppity and want your neighbors to see a 10 acre striped lawn. Needs vs wants. It's ok to have wants.
