I wanted to create a 2nd channel that I could upload cooking, non-reselling shopping, and my weekly vlogs and travel adventures. Bascially my life in a nutshell. I love vlogging and wanted to expand more than just reselling. Welcome to my weird, but pretty basic and normal world!
In this video, we'll explore Old Town San Diego and see where the 'birthplace" California. The history and charm of this charming little place is alive and so much fun! We'll also take the trolly over to Hotel Del Coranado and walk in the footsteps of Marilyn Monroe where one of my favorite movies, Some Like It Hot was filmed. The beaches at "The Del" are my favorite! It won't be boring, that's for sure!

I would bye up to see The Heaven's Gate site . I like weird , too ! In high school we would say " stay weird " and I love you because you are so weird ! I miss the 60'd can you tell ? I would be shipping that beautiful pottery home . Pottery is my thing ! I have pieces by William J. Gordy a folk pottier from close to my home in Georgia . His work is in the Smithsonian. We lost him years ago ( I met him several times ) so all his work went sky high ! A plain mug goes for $ 50 or more ! Got one ! Gail D.

The hotel is a lot like Jerkyl Island Club Hotel at Jerrkyl Island off the coast of Georgia on the Atlantic . In 1888 , I think, a group of millionaires got together and formed a hunting club for a winter vacation . It was warmer in the South. There were J.P. Morgan. William Rockefellow , Vincent Vanderbilt and others . They built their cottages which were big and beautiful. The clubhouse was the place everyone ate since they did not have kitchens in the cottages . You can stay in the clubhouse and several other paces and tour the cottages . There is a beach on the other side of the island with condos and nice hotels . We love it, but I hate to go to the Atlantic , The Gulf is so much better . Sorry. Sharing too much. Yes, Misty that's what Abuelas do, is make tortillas for their grandkids. My Abuelita taught me to make tortillas at a very young age and I taught my children and now im teaching my grandchildren. They love it. ❤️ so easy to make you should try it.

I loved your older videos where you had the shop and vintage Christmas is my jam. I have found many great vintage items here in San Diego. Maybe you were able to visit our swap meet it’s pretty great.
Misty, I have a tree obsession and on my bucket list is to go see the redwood forest. I can't thank you enough because I had never heard of The Grand Coronado and to get to see the color of the redwoods and the sheer scope of the inside of that hotel knowing that was one whole tree. It was so stunning. As I've said before I love living vicariously through you. Thank you so very much ❤❤❤❤❤

They call the Domes Igloos. Several of the local restaurants have them so people can eat outside during winter. They are super popular. Most place make you reserve them ahead.
This was a great video. I admire your willpower - I would have bought all the pottery and tossed my clothes out of my suitcase to make room so I could take it home with me! It was a bit pricey though. Now you have your first travel vlog under your belt, you make notes for the next one. You will do it and they will be great!

I loved this tour of the old town & the hotel great to hear history of places. Nice place to go get out of the winter happy you got to go with Mark. We are going to Puerto Vallarta Mexico for a week soon & always bring back a Mexican pottery piece or 2 will pay attention to signed pieces this time.

We love San Diego. This makes me want to go back again. It's a 6 hour drive for us so have been many times. Wouldn't want to live there though. Sooo much traffic and too many people, but we love to visit.😀

Misty, I encourage you to knit. I have ADHD and anxiety, and knitting is both therapeutic and relaxing for me (not that you need that)! There are several RUclips channels available for instruction. I knitted an alpaca wool scarf after I retired. It helped me make the transition from going a zillion miles an hour to feeling like a relaxed, creative human being. Love your channel!
