Thank you very much, Chester! I literally spent around 4 hours trying to deal with the background image as most of the information on the web seems to be outdated/suitable for other versions of Word. You explained it just perfectly and the second method is the most manageable in my opinion. I appreciate the effort! Keep it up!
Bless you! Unlocked the mystery around a background image in a Word template and got me going again. I kept fitzing around with the "picture/watermark" ribbon. I would have never thought to look in the header.
Thank you for the amazing tutorial. I have one question. Is there any way that I can use the page format that I can see whilst im editing the background image. I want it to be black with a white logo in the middle which is how it appears when im editing the picture but as soon as I close the headers and footers section it turns into a grey colour that I am not looking for. I would like to use the template that is active once im editing the page format not the one that is created when I close the headers and footers.
This was great, except for one issue. I have an extra blank page at the end of my document that I cannot delete due to the Section Break (Next Page) at the bottom of the previous (actual last page). If I delete that mark up, it deletes the backgound image on the true last page.
I used Design tab > Page Background > click Page Color > click Fill Effects to color the background, which filled the entire page as wanted. When I print the page, it tiles the background instead of printing what I see on the screen, one single background. Any idea how to print the page and not tile the background fill effect?
Thanks, needed to do this for my school work so it wouldn't look bland
