I happened upon this stately home tour by accident, became intrigued and watched to the end. A clever and admixture of traditional & contemporary styles which harmonized well considering the vast number of rooms. Interesting to see the usage of earth tones throughout the home. Thank you for giving such a normal tour....where you didn't talk and explain every little thing....sometimes that's nice but I really enjoyed this and it made sense....you didn't hop all over the place making it confusing. It was great!! I wish I could provide a home like this but on a much smaller scale for my family. One day perhaps....

Cottage has two meanings when it comes to houses guys. One is an architectural design style. The other is the colloquial term for a small house.
Look to Mackinac Island for a great example of the former. Huge homes, built in the cottage design style.

Some may feel jealousy when seeing your amazing home, but not me, because it's simple; if you work hard by putting in what it takes to get there, then you will achieve amazing results! I see nothing but hard, core labour of love.
Please make sure you instil in your children that privilege should never be taken for granted and that they must also work hard to achieve the same goals of their own. Remind them that it took a lot of sacrifices and tough decisions to get to this point in life.

My life is nothing like yours. I have no money, no job and live in temporary accommodation. I don't think i will ever have a nice home at this point in my life, but i am healthy and happy and have my dreams.
