- Hey , greetings;
I hope everyone is Ok, i am ok although we still don’t have running water yet, & the internet is a little dodgy ,
could have been worse, as you probably know or have seen in news -
For those who don’t know, we were hit hard from
Hurricane Helene , as you’ll see in the footage i added in this video
(this is all real footage of some of the damage done in a 1 mile or so perimeter of my house;
we had a lot of wires down and a near miss with a large evergreen tree…. others were hit MUCH worse, a lot more damage)

That's all within one mile? Crazy powerful storm!!! Glad to hear you're okay. Hope you're getting power back. Hope nobody close was injured from Helene. Looks like a few years worth of cleanup. ❤❤

Yeah, it's bizarre, one house (a few houses down from us) had a huge oak tree collapse, and was sitting in their living room, yet, a house next door still had potted plants and hanging plants on the porch that didn't even seem phased, these storms are really bizarre, and absolutely frightening.. I got down on knees and prayed like a little alter boy, at one point . We were very lucky . Thanks for comment and yeah, some of the bridges that were destroyed have roads blocked, and some of the radio broadcasts from NPR said, it could be years before they're fixed..

I just keep being very thankful that I live on a hill... what a storm this was! And this just shows that it doesn't really matter where we live... you never know what might happen.
@@ladycampion yeah, most of the folks who live on hills or higher points seemed to do better here, but not all; out neighbor across the street had a severe rise, their lower story windows look straight across to over our roof, yet , they got entire basement totally flooded, we did not.
Over a year ago, we had severe precipitation and rain, and out basement was the one that got the flood, so, it's stranger than ppl think, especially when you factor in rocky parts, driveways, wind, duration of down pour, etc etc

Crazy Times
absolutely, many of the emergency radio announcers dubbed this as “biblical” in proportion, (there are areas close to me that got hit extremely hard)
what doesn’t wipe us out, hopefully makes us wiser & stronger ! thanks , appreciate you 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hey man positive thoughts to you. We need help in there now. My son still has no electricity.
Sorry to hear man. it truly sucks with no electric , we still don’t have phone (landline) service , or water , and the internet still blinks out sometimes, but i guess the main thing is, we are still here !
