  • Of the four girls, Olga and Marie were essentially Russian, altogether Romanov in their inheritance. Anastasia, a sharp and clever child, was a very monkey for jokes, some of them at times almost too practical for the enjoyment of others. Tatiana was almost a perfect reincarnation of her mother. Taller and slenderer than her sisters, she had the soft refined features and the gentle reserved manners of her English ancestry.

What a warm and beautiful and unique and pure bond this family had between them! Their beliefs in God! We only read, hear, and follow these so sentimental touching videos that we are so blessed to learn every detail on each member of the family and we feel as though we have actually met them and feel the pain in this terrible tragedy they went through... God rest their souls and keep them all together next TO YOU GOD!

It's almost weird to imagine what could have happened if all of the Tsar's family survived the Ekaterinburg execution and the timelines had gone differently. I'm 23 and I sometimes think that these grand duchesses who were not much younger than me what could have happened had they lived a full and prosperous life. Life can be exceptionally cruel, so we can always imagine and speculate what could have happened to the four grand duchesses. However one thing is certain, time will never forget these martyrs and neither will we. 🙏

If George V had had some imagination. Is he had thought that there was something that wasn't bringing them to England or leaving them to the bolsheviks. Karensky took them out to Siberian Railway to the east. If George had cable back to keep taking the meast and they'll send a ship and get them in Vladivostok or the North End of Korea or something he could have taken them to Canada and left them there through the war. If Wilson had a grade to take them to America he could have had them shipped to Alaska or to Washington State Oregon less than there during the war in America we have rules that you can't stay here if you assert that your royalty so they would have had to be self-supporting but there's a lot of things that could have worked but neither George V nor President Wilson even tried

@@RomanovRoyalMartyrs I remember reading a story about Olga and one of her tutors. She was told to underline any word she had trouble with in a French novel. She underlined the word"Merde!" When she brought it up at dinner with her family, Nicholas II had to ask the tutor what was happening at sessions. Beautiful souls all of them, but Maria wanted a large family and can appreciate that. What a lucky man that would have been!

Their future is that they are saints I n heaven. There were forces of revolution that were in play for several generations.
Their great grandfather( the Czar-Liberator Alexander IIwho freed the serfs & was in the process of voluntarily ending autocracy) was assassinated.
The Imperial train with Alexandar III's family aboard( including Nicholas II) was sabotaged & the royal family barely made it out. The revolutionaries were determined to keep trying until they got what they wanted. It's sad that they murdered a really good family who cared about the people, when Russia was actually doing better. The war threw everything into chaos and made things look worse and gave them the spark they needed. And the sad thing for the Russian people was, all they went through with the revolution the government they got was worse

@@ladyagnes9430 It's the way history goes, I'm afraid. Those who attempt to bring about change for the better, are then used to suit the political purposes of others. We only need to look at all the good that was done during Glasnost and where Russia has ended up now, run by a dictator who has - forcefully invaded their neighbour, slaughtering the civillian population, endless families forced to leave their homes to live in other countries simply to stay alive, Nuclear Power Plants taken over to be used to control power whilst those in Europe will be facing much devastation during the coming Winter.......The list goes on. It's history repeating itself again. There will always be those who wish to change for the better, whilst others will be wanting things to move in another direction. Unfortunately, this is how life pans out. I just feel that there was no reason to murder those lovely girls and put them through such horror. They could of sent them to England instead, where they'd hardly be a harm to them. Their demise was so sad for those so young.💖

      An interesting thought.
The people should think twice before supporting blood thirsty leaders.
Eventually they will be blood thursty towards the people too.
It might sound fun when its the royals suffering but that suffering is coming towards everyone just around the corner.
France got even more war and death after its bloody revolution.
Russia got even more famine, cruelty, enslavement by the government.
Should be a very important lesson.
When you support those willing to torture and kill children, beware of the future. The torture and killing is not likely to stop and someone else will be victim next.

The Tsar and Tsarina we're doting, loving hands on parents - not something royalty did back then. They clearly loved each other and their children. I weep thinking about the unfair, cruel ending to their lives. God obviously messed up that day - what other explanation is there? They didn't deserve what happened to them.

I'll try being as objective as I can here, folks.
In a manner, I always liked tsar Nicholas II. As a person, he was a truly great individual: austere, honest, kind, considerate, modest, pious, devoted. Sure, he was flawed. The way he managed the Russian empire was far from ideal (sure the circumstances wouldn't have been great even for a better prepared and more assertive, ambitious leader but still). Sure, he was biased and timid and easily influenced by people he should probably keep at a distance (kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany, or Rasputin) but he was a good person, a devoted husband and a loving father. And these great qualities are evident in his children.
Olga, Tatiana, Marie and Anastasia appear quite fascinating individuals. Perhaps too sheltered from the outside world (I understand their mother's desire to keep them away from gossip of a decadent society, but since her children are members of said society, they should learn how to protect themselves from it) but they all seemed so promising. What the Bolsheviks did to them, their brother, their parents and the staff they had with them was a terrible crime.
May you find the peace and solace you were denied in the afterlife, grand duchesses OTMA. Too bad you were taken from us before the world could see how great you could really be.
