Worked like a charm. What a life saver. A bit challenging first time soldering but made it happen.

Buzzing sound trying to turn on this exact model of TV. I changed diodes D750, 751, 752, 753 and D950A and everything fixed! Thank you!

Thank you so much for posting this video! My Sony 65X850E TV had the same buzzing problem (it's about 3~4 years old). Upon disassembly I could see the leads on the top right diode (D753) were discolored. After a bit of research, I believe the diode's characteristics are: 5A, 150V... Hence the p/n of SB5150. Like you mentioned, the diode you used as a replacement has a lower current rating. Although it seems to work, I would strongly caution others using components of a lower rating / capability than the original design. I was able to find a suitable replacement on Digi-Key. It is Taiwan Semiconductor p/n SR515 A0G. They're $1 each and can be sent in an envelope in the mail for $5 shipping. TV repaired and working well. Thank you again for taking the time to analyze, document, and post this video!

Thank you! I have this same model of TV. At 5 years old, it started exhibiting this exact symptom of buzzing and not turning on. Opening it up, the same diode looked burnt, part SB5150. I placed an order on Digikey for the equivalent part made by TSMC: SR515. I desoldered the bad diode and soldered on the new one, and everything works now!
To get the back off of the TV, after taking off all of the necessary screws (that have an arrow pointing to them), I had to lay the TV flat and hit it a few times upwards with my palm to dislodge the back. Everything else was pretty straightforward. Make sure you have a desoldering tool and use a larger tip on your soldering iron if possible. This was an easy fix that cost $1 for the part and $7 for shipping it. Getting a replacement power supply board would have cost at least $100.

Thank you for the video! I had the same problem but it was the other 2 diodes. This fixed the problem, thanks to your video!

I just fixed my tv using this video. My solder sucker was either trash or I wasn't using it right, but got the job done regardless. Thank you for making this video!!!

11:19 This two "tiny pipes" are actually heatsinks. Diodes don't move by themselves, even at a high frequency.

Hi! Thank you very much for the video. It was useful for me. But what happened to me was that I replaced the 4 diodes. I put this: 5A-800V
It seemed to work, but after 20 minutes it turned off anyway. Again the same two diodes failed.
What to do? Can you help me?
    TV type: 65XE7005

Awesome work, I have a x81ch 75" just 45 days old, every morning it has an audio freeze (matrix
noise) for 10 or so seconds then reboots. I can still return the TV, have you seen this problem with Sony?

Hello, this is exact my S0NY TV XBR 65X850E (made date September 2021) problem. I have a question to ask if you don't mind. Can I just replace a board that much easier to me? Do you think this would be difficult? Can you tell me what is the board (parts) information? I found it on Sony website - part # 1-474-685-11 and (Power Cba) Gl72-static Conver. Do you think this is the right one? Thank you in advance!

replacing the board it will be easy for you, and i cant tell what the board is compatible to your t, you need to take the t apart and check your old board part number, plus you will need to compare your old board with the new one pictures before you order, good luck

    #SOSfixElectronics
I have a Sony KDL-65X85J...I recently acquired it as is, when I turn it on, it does with very white faint picture background then quickly change to brownish white
Then the tv promptly changes or progress to the standby mode where you hear button interaction sounds with backlight on & sound but noo picture...
I believe attempts were made to replace the T-con board but when I try the replacement myself with the spare T-con board, the tv power led light would blink x5 times then shut down.
When reinstall the original T-con board I would get the first & original issue I highlighted.
I checked the output voltages from the power supply board using a odometer & they seem to be in check & balances.... 3.3v, 12v...
Besides the lack of picture images or signal, upon closer inspection at the back, far LEFT bottom of the disassembled KDL-65X85J tv, on the buffer board area, 1 of the COF LCD ribbon is removed, unattached. Not rip or torn..is this a major concern??...I will seek to get it rebounded. but how bad is this specially? @SOfixElectronics
    Sincerely....🇯🇲
