As a chinese, i am so happy that people are loving the chinese one more for once. When people put speaking language in genshin that isnt their own, its usually ALWAYS japanese because of anime and stuff, and im genuinely so happy.
Another thing that i forgot to mention before, i’m also kinda jealous that everyone likes the japanese dubs better bc of anime even though the game was made by a chinese company. Ngl, kinda salty abt it lol

I think the issue is that China is very to themselves and pretty strict in certain areas, unlike Japan. I'd really love to visit China and see the temples and mountains, it's just the strictness about tourists that scare me away, unfortunately. Especially being from a country they dislike 🥲
I use chinese voice for almost 2 yrs because it sounds good in the game
