4:08 Frisco Bill can be happy that he spent his life with you instead of being passed from owner to owner and experiencing horse misery at auctions. You can probably see it in his general health, his teeth are fine, his hooves are regularly trimmed, someone takes care of him with mash and the vibrator plate, .....
Laughing at the comment above about Nigel still being a “little pill”at his ripe old age. That pony makes me laugh all the time. He’s the best remote distant therapist.
What is going on with these "fans" who think they can get by with negative comments about you?! And just what "nut" would dare to insinuate that you don't know how to ride horses?! I am in my 70's and was around horses most of my life. And, I'm here to tell you that I have learned more about horses watching your channel, than I did as a recreation rider for 40 years! Your knowledge about horses, their health and their training shows me that you are the epitome of equine information that all horse lovers aspire to! For anyone to doubt your capabilities just shows what uninformed fools they are! I have a tiny social media habit. Mostly because I can’t stand the behind the keyboard experts. People make snap decision over a tiny glimpse into a video and spew nonsense. When I learned to ride I was 30 and the woman who taught me knew I had horsey fever. She said, horses are 90% from the ground and riding the last 10% and only if there is time. I like being brought along with CCs day of work. She shows what it is like to have horses and her knowledge about horses becomes more and more evident with each video.
Me too! It’s obvious from watching just a few of your videos that you truly know how to ride. And anyway, why does it matter so much to those idiots? Just enjoy watching!
The doubters will have no doubt after watching this video! And, no one will doubt your training ability, either. Lots of talent there, and a kind heart.
Had a horse like Bill once. A big Appy gelding I bought when he was 7. Found him gone to horse heaven one morning about 8 years ago when he was 33. He's buried under his favorite old oak tree in his pasture. Happy birthday to Bill and Horse Mum to you. I truly admire you for what you do all by yourself and so well.
Hello Clever, I've been a little weepy all day and watching you love down this old horse put me over. I am sharing a poem my eastern Montana father wrote about his cow horse Keno who was born the same year as me and lived to be 29. He was a rough trotter too. My old grandfather hadn't been on a horse for many years, but one day when he came out to the ranch, Dad caught Keno and put Grandpa on him. Miss them all so much. KENO by Fran Wetherelt... Called him bad old "Thunder Butt", Called him "Rascal" too. Called him almost everything, including Tried and True". Called him "Rough and Ready". Called him "slothful sot", but when you put him on a cow you just hung on a lot. Called him at dark thirty for many many years. Called him "Prince of Patience" with kids from tail to ears. Called him in the springtime. Called him in the fall. I sure dislike the ugly beast. His picture's on my wall.
OMG, that's awesome - and written like a true cowboy who loves his horse. The humor is great! And anyone who's ridden a well loved working quarter horse understands what he means.
I loved reading this!! I had many names for my mare too!! I got her cheap bc she kept breaking my 4-H leaders fences!! I brought her up the road a mile one day to eat grass at the neighbors.. After that she'd trot up whenever she wanted..
So few animals get to spend their whole lives in one loving home. Seeing that Frisco Bill did this, and with the best owner he could have, just warms my heart. No wonder he looks so great at his age! He's never known hunger, abandonment, mistreatment, or neglect! Happy Belated, Frisco!🎉🎂
I got a yearling when I was 13. It was the best thing my parents could have done for me. I was too busy (and happily busy) to get into trouble. I kept her for the rest of her 30+ years on earth. I understand why this channel's creator will never sell Frisco Bill.
Beautiful tribute to Frisco Bill. How wonderful that you and he have enjoyed his lifetime together. The music at the end was lovely and hearing him chew grass topped it all off.
I don't understand people who criticize others. You have a balanced and beautiful seat on Frisco Bill. He is in incredible shape for 29 years. You take exceptional care of all your horses. I enjoy and look forward to your videos. I can relate as time spent with my horses is the of times and absolute heaven when a good ride is included. You are an inspiration to those who aspire to be a horse woman, or man. 🐎 Happy Birthday, Frisco Bill 🎂
Oh Happy Birthday Frisco Bill!!!! I can't believe he's 29! He looks so good!! He's a handsome guy! Ok, now I have to say, I can't believe that some people say you probably don't even know how to ride a horse??? Give me a break! That's unreal! He had a great day with YOU! A very special bond. That's wonderful!❤
Video Sound is perfect here! Happy birthday to Frisco Bill. It makes me happy to realize he has lived his entire life since one year old with you. Lovely for him--and for you too. happy horses, everybody!
My first horse was a yearling quarter horse. She turned out beautifully. Despite offers, I never sold her. I understand why Frisco Bill holds a special place in your heart.
For a senior guy he is gorgeous. You have done a wonderful job with him. Be blessed young lady. You are doing a great job with all of them. Can't wait to see you ride Ziggy.
Frisco Bill is amazing! I love the way you savor this sweet old boy. He really seems to enjoy his time with you. On the subject of trolls: Your horse care skills and knowledge are top notch, which grows your channel, which attracts trolls. They will get bored and wander away eventually, Don't let them get to you. Remember Internet rule #3: Don't feed the trolls. 🐴💩
I love your channel so much! Happy Birthday Frisco Bill! He looks fantastic for his age! I love how meticulous you are with each horse, knowing all their little quirks. I love how you are so knowledgeable about their needs in every way. Please try to ignore the trolls they are just trying to get a rise out of you. You are one of the most knowledgeable horsemen I have had the pleasure to watch and watching your channel grow is such a joy. God bless you!
The people saying that she doesn’t know how to ride are ridiculous. It’s because there hasn’t been any recent videos is because she’s more worried about keeping them warm in the below weather and keeping all the chores up. She’s only only one person people give her some grace.
Happy Mother's Day kiddo! What a wonderful horse Mom you are. 💕💕 Thanks so much for giving us some background on Frisco Bill! What a wonderful relationship. What a cool horse!
I’m a non horsey person but I love animals and have been doing rescue for over 22 years - appreciate your videos and I love all your horses and how you care for them. Shame on those people who say you can’t ride a horse - ignore them!
Wow. Frisco Bill is an amazing horse, and such a testament to your skill as both a rider and trainer and just how much real care you give each of your horses. The fact you care so much about each horse is why I love this channel. Please do not pay attention to the haters. They have nothing better to do than type nonsense on their keyboard while you are actually living your dreams and taking us along for the ride. 🐎
Happy birthday, Frisco Bill! 🎉 It’s always good to see a horse in such a caring home, and to find out he’s been with since he was only one year old is even better. Makes me so incredibly happy!
This is my favorite video so far! It’s so obvious how deep the feelings are between you and Frisco Bill after a lifetime of being together. There’s nothing like the bond between people and animals who have been a part of each other’s lives for years and years. I’ve been so blessed to have had 7 cats who were with me for over 19 years, in one case 21 years. I have one last cat who will be 20 in three months, Lord willing. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of your special day with your old friend. I felt it so deeply.
Happy Birthday Frisco Bill! I wish for you many more! It's so nice that a horse gets to spend pretty much his whole life with one owner who takes such good care and love for their horse!
You are absolutely so REAL. I LOVE that you give your dog the chestnuts and ergots...My dogs love them! Everything you do is down to earth and not showy....honest work. The dental video of Ziggy was very educational! Even though my horses get dentals every year I have never seen such good pics of the before and after. I can tell that you absolutely know what you are doing, and this video shows your riding skills!
He thoroughly enjoyed his birthday and the way he held his head and nose out showed his ecstasy during his bath. What a wonderful conformation and disposition he has! I used to ride my parents Quarter Horses bareback all the time while I was growing up. We had a mare with a racing dam from Oklahoma. I will never forget the flattening of her back and her muscles rippling beneath my legs, when I let her run at her top end speed. I was perched like a bird on a wire, gripping the small tuft of mane at her withers, the wind whipping my eyes into tears and I couldn't even see where I was going. But she knew - and I trusted her instincts to navigate the field. It was so dangerous, but I will NEVER forget that adrenaline rush and the thrill of being one with a horse. I'm now 63 and life has seemed empty living in the city and not riding horses. CC you are a joy to watch and I greatly admire your horsemanship skills.
It's awesome that Goose is so interested. I hope he learns something, too! Thanks for the virtual ride! I am a rider myself, so it's nice to see a rider being safe and smart with their horse rather than just filming for social media points.
He's still a beautiful horse. Nothing wrong with spoiling him, at 29 years old he's earned a happy retirement:-) I got a big laugh when you said some people are saying maybe you can't ride. Love your videos, keep'em coming.
Happy birthday Frisco Bill ❤ he looks amazing for his age! And I can completely understand why you feel you need 10 horses to replace him. It's not just his skills it's the amazing bond you have with him after having him since he was only 1. He will always be your favourite 😍 ❤️
Frisco Bill looks like he enjoyed his special day!! It is so evident how well cared for and loved he is!!! Thank you for sharing this sweet video!! Just live your channel, CC!!!!
The last thing I had any doubt was your ability to ride a horse. Thank you C.C. for such a treat as to share Frisco Bill’s birthday with your viewers and to make a Mother’s Day celebration more special. P.S. Your music library must be as special as your ability to appreciate and work with horses. ☘
Such a peaceful video. It’s wonderful that you made the day about Frisco Bill for his birthday. He obviously loves you so! And it’s also obvious that he loves you to dote on him and and be pampered with “spa time”. What a beautiful friend and partner for 28 years!
I love your videos!! I always look forward to your next video! I grew up on a horse farm from two years old until I was thirteen when we had to move away from the farm, but never lost the love of horses or farm life. Watching you do all your chores reminds me of the chores I had each day at the farm as a young guy. Cleaning the barn stalls, pitch forking the waste on our ancient manure spreader hooked to our 9N Ford tractor. Then spreading it out on pastures to fertilize. Grooming the horses, having them ready for the boarders to ride when they showed up. Etc etc etc. No disrespect to you or your husband but this seventy year old guy loves you, what you do for your horses and for sharing your loving care of them with your videos. Thank you so much!!!
I'm an old woman in England who once worked as a riding instructor; you don't just ride a horse, you are a proper horsewoman and one with your horse. X
After 40 years ... out of horses for 20. Your knowledgeable, your horsepersonship is great. Your horses are well cared for and spoiled. Lucky to be owned by you.
Frisco Bill seems like he’s a perfect rodeo horse, except that life is too hard for any critter,, man, woman, horse, bull, calf. He sure looks like a good buddy to have in one’s life. Oh the secrets you’ve told him! He’s a true lifelong friend, and sweet & svelte as can be!
Happiest of birthdays to Frisco Bill! What a sweet old man 🥰It always makes me so happy to see elderly horses that are in such good care. It's really heart warming!
There is no question that you know how to ride a horse. The fact that you can ride bare back and have a good seat tells it all! We love you ignore the nasayers!
I want to wish Frisco Bill a Very Happy Birthday with many healthy years left to enjoy. A compliment to The Clever Cowgirl for taking on the much needed Ferrier skill for your horses. I watch a few different channels related to horses both private and rescue organizations and you are the only one that takes on the Hoof care without using the services of an outside Ferrier. Keep the videos coming and Happy Mother's Day!
This video brought tears to my eyes. You could see the memories that you shared with Frisco Bill and it seemed he wanted to make sure that he hadn't forgotten those times with you. It was beautiful and very emotional. Thank you for sharing.
@TheCleverCowgirl-Frisco Bill Is Soo Handsome. HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Frisco. What An Amazing Boy! You are such A Great Animal Mom CC. My mom and I love your Channel! I hope that Frisco Bill Enjoyed his Very Special. Day!! 🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🐴🐴🐴🐴🐴🎊🎉
I love the contrast between Nigel and Frisco Bill lol. Even their names are opposite. What a distinguished gentleman you have. You take such good care of your friends!
Those type horses are worth their weight in gold. I had one similar, an old Joe Cody horse that I did everything on... Truely miss him. Happy bday Frisco Bill.
It's easy to see what excellent breeding he has; classic quarter horse head to toe and a hit with the ladies. And he's still ready to go out and show his stuff. He's had a good, busy life with lots of time seeing the bigger world and making you proud. And what a beautiful place to live your retirement years, I am jealous...

Its speaks volumes about your skills in horsemanship that frisco bill is as healthy and fit as he is at 29 years old. Respect.

Frisco and the neighbors' mare look so much younger than they are. They are living a good life.❤
could Frisco retire with her and share her pâturage??
I can't believe anyone could think you can't ride a horse! That's just nuts.

Riding bareback at a lope ! I guess the naysayers can see it with their own eyes . What a great life for Frisco !
With an injured ankle at that!

OK, CC, this one brought tears to my eyes. Happy Birthday, Frisco Bill!! He is perfect.
Yeah tears here too. Old horses and dogs are precious. This brought back so many memories of my own horses that are gone now.
You've had Frisco Bill for 28 years! That is so great. Having the horse as you both grew up is a blessing for sure.
I got a yearling when I was 13. It was the best thing my parents could have done for me. I was too busy (and happily busy) to get into trouble. I kept her for the rest of her 30+ years on earth. I understand why this channel's creator will never sell Frisco Bill.

That was the sweetest tribute to a much loved horse/life partner I’ve seen.
Thanks for sharing.

How cool that we can buy our favorite horse a bale of hay. I just absolutely love that idea! ❤
Can I do that from uk
You are welcome to buy my horse a bale of hay lol. Where I live in Florida, it costs $20-25 for a regular square bale!!!!
That’s so funny! “Freeloaders !”
😂👍🏻😂
For a senior guy he is gorgeous. You have done a wonderful job with him. Be blessed young lady. You are doing a great job with all of them. Can't wait to see you ride Ziggy.
I'm surprised Huckleberry isn't following Frisco Bill around trying to get the snacks off his ankles.
😂
He tired on once!
Hahahaha…. Once.
Quick learner
He did look like he was bird doggin FB as he was doing his thing in the arena.
I can't believe people would accuse you of not being able to ride....LOL....Looks like you're doing a bang-up job to me. ❤❤❤❤😂😂
The truth is obvious, I don't know why anyone would say otherwise! 💖💖🐎🐎 Go CC!
Nothing better than riding an old friend. Enjoy him while he is still with you. I lost my best friend 17 yrs ago and still miss her.
The VERY best things in the world are old geldings. Takes a long time to grow a good friend!
I think as long as Frisko Bill is healthy and enjoys being rode, it's good to keep him active as long as possible. I think it keeps him young!
Nice to see Frisco Bill being pampered on his birthday 🎊
Happy Birthday Frisco Bill 😍❤🎉

Mine too! ☺
Happy birthday, Frisco Bill! 🎉 It’s always good to see a horse in such a caring home, and to find out he’s been with since he was only one year old is even better. Makes me so incredibly happy!

I absolutely know that non riding people don't understand what it takes to take care of an older horse. It's a lot of work. Lou from Det. Mi
Happy birthday Frisco Bill! Thank you for sharing this special day with us.
Don't listen to anybody being negative, and Happy Birthday to the old Boy!🥳
I'm an old woman in England who once worked as a riding instructor; you don't just ride a horse, you are a proper horsewoman and one with your horse. X
Happy Birthday Frisco Bill! So glad we got to celebrate with you!
After 40 years ... out of horses for 20. Your knowledgeable, your horsepersonship is great. Your horses are well cared for and spoiled. Lucky to be owned by you.
I feel like you’re living your best life, doing what you love. It’s so enjoyable to see you happy with your horses, huckleberry and tiny
This is how love looks.
I never would have guessed Frisco Bill was an old horse. He looks amazing for his age!
Darling old man was just adoring that scrubbing with the brush.❤❤
Happiest of birthdays to Frisco Bill! What a sweet old man 🥰It always makes me so happy to see elderly horses that are in such good care. It's really heart warming!
Happy bday Friscobill! He looks amazing for a 29 yo young gentleman!! I can’t imagine just how cool he must have been in his prime time!
What a lovely old gentleman. I really really enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing his birthday with us. 💕💕
There was one point in Frisco Bills spa appointment where i could just imagine him saying, yes, that’s the spot and groaning.
The look in Frisco Bill’s eyes when you scratched his ears was priceless. Happy Birthday!
The basics of being a farrier are so easy. I don't understand why more people don't do it themselves.
He is great shape for 29....happy birthday Frisco Bill!
This video brought tears to my eyes. You could see the memories that you shared with Frisco Bill and it seemed he wanted to make sure that he hadn't forgotten those times with you. It was beautiful and very emotional. Thank you for sharing.

It's like watching old home movies from the 50's! No sound but still enjoyable. ❤
Happy birthday, Frisco! We have this in common. Hope your day is special!
Happy Birthday to you too!
Frisco Bill is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. You must be so very proud of him.
I love the contrast between Nigel and Frisco Bill lol. Even their names are opposite. What a distinguished gentleman you have. You take such good care of your friends!
It is sooooo wonderful you've cared for him since he was a yearling. Bless you Clever!!
Those type horses are worth their weight in gold. I had one similar, an old Joe Cody horse that I did everything on... Truely miss him. Happy bday Frisco Bill.
He loves having his ears rubbed and his bath!!
It's ridiculous that people think you don't know how to ride..love Frisco Bill as well❤❤❤ HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRISCO BILL
My goodness, what a great horse! He hasn't forgotten a thing. And all that bare back and on a rope halter. And you can't ride. LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
100% agree! 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for uploading this video! We love Frisco Bill and getting to see a whole video about him on his special day was such a treat.❤
