34:10 I love how the blue shell is slowly coming closer in the background, then right before it hits Waluigi seems to notice it and then the screens fades to white.
Feels like something out to the 80/90s horror movies
lol i just thought of this. imagine going outside and looking down the road or somewhere far, and you see a blue spiky shell in the distance coming directly torwards you at that speed

teaching me a lot of things i didn't know... like the "rival" thing in CPU racing. I find when playing against computers i usually get screwed over by one the koopalings... leading to my line of "it's always a koopaling"

Currently using this to improve my 200cc skills, watching you opt to drift over certain ramps and not gos tricks are small things I need to do to become the best MK8D player in my friend group.

One thing I like about Mario Kart 8 is that most of the tracks are just how fast you can race them with no major skips

They say lightning doesn't strike twice. It seemed to in Wario's Gold Mine at 1:12:25 and then again only about 7 seconds later. (Plus a blue shell! Ouch!)

Youngling99999 back when the first game came out he would be able to cling on to super horns for laps on end. It was crazy. Rnjesus likes him, i guess

I remember playing Mario 64 on my game cube that came out 7 years before I was born on a crap tv so I find it cool that thay still make Mario kart games even though the first game came out in 1992!

I always try to do all the tracks on mk8deluxe but, the cpus aren’t as smart as in previous Mario kart games and that makes it boring for me to play them
Sorry if you explain this later in the video, but what's the reason for using Waluigi? Obviously assuming he has some good speed stats but I've heard before Morton actually has the best ones for speedrunning so I'd like to know more about Waluigi's

I don't believe it's banned, but it depends on the game and category. Check speedrun.com for MK8DX, they might have a FAQ for these kinds of questions.

I dont understand how one man is so consistent with getting horns. I tried to speed run this and in my best run. I got 3 horns...
He was so far ahead the blue shell risk was increased → more horns
@@_Athanos i had to look into this, and no, the item spawn rate in 8 is based on distance as you might know and according to the wiki, you just don't get the horn the further ahead you get. check the wiki, its pretty interesting how the game balances itself out

I couldn't find for the Deluxe version which I know has massively changed the meta : vehicle parts are very in the two games (the gliders have more importance, the other tires were revised...) and from experience the item generation changed too so I wouldn't trust the Wii U version to give me answers.
