Do you have to hit the key checkpoints in the right order? If not then maybe some rerouting can be done to find a faster FLAP?
yes
@@GuanlongX So checkpoints hit in order, got it.
@@xxlarrytfvwxx9531 yes, the only reason we're able to skip the parts of the tracks we do is because those segments don't contain any key checkpoints
The most mind blowing thing for me is not the shortcuts or world records being achieved...
You can have LESS than 3 shrooms on time trial????
Imagine if zumo would have stopped after some expert said "it's not possible". Don't let anyone tell you what you can't do
Hello Dry Bones, my old friend. My childhood self randomly picked the best character as his favorite again.

Glad to see like this stuff being found for my first Mario kart game I played :)
Wow this is incredible!!! Also, how can I access to all that invisible information of the map, like invisible walls, hitboxes and check points????
You know things are going crazy in a speedrunning community when a commentator hits you with a "while I was editing this video..."
Im so so glad MKDS is still being optimized
I really don't care about speedruns, but man, the things that speedrunners find is often extremely fascinating!
Very interesting video, you're really good at explaining these things in a way that most people can understand.
Great job, looking forward to the next one.
I have a somewhat off topic question.
How are you using karts with the wrong characters? I never had that option in my game. I couldn't use Waluigi's karts with Mario, for example.
You need to get gold trophies on all mirror cups. After that you can use any car with any character

Finally, MKDS getting some love :D
people saying something isnt possible probably singlehanded ruined the curiosity in so many games the most
I think speedrunning is very cool!
Dang, I never would've thought you'd be a able to use bouncing like that! I played MKDS for years... so why did this never cross my mind?
This is so cool! Love watching MKDS stuff
that was super interesting! the nostalgia is huge 😄
I've been doing these for fun for literal years, and killing myself by getting launched off the map with them, I never thought this game had clippable walls that I could exploit with this though.
Bro guanlong is the dude who performed my fossil fighters frontier out of bounds methods randomly seeing him in a vid felt so weird
yeah that's me
hi really cool to see you here
bro I found that too but I thought everyone knew about it, like who tf discovers a new thing in 2023? welp, apparently me and this dude
I even joined the discord for 2 days to ask about prb and could've just mentoined it but AAARGH now I'm not in a yt video maaan I'm stupid
And thats why you record your findings. Text and video.
Crazy that the pinball record got done 3 times in one run
