keep making the great content. like ive said a few times your honest thats the main thing. Some people like to criticise but then cant take criticism and they then just start going down the fanboy channel route and get their clicks from that, and they know that so thats all they can and know what to do to get the clicks👍

You're a good dude spratty I definitely don't think you met anything bad by the video I think it was more us in the comments that was mentioning names….for what it's worth if that person happens to see this comment I think he's a good guy too. I do think he he himself gets wrapped up in the “brand wars” a bit to much and he's said as much. I just love talking about this stuff and giving my honest opinions too and try and have an actual conversation about it.

I mean you probably heard me say in between the laughter at the start I didn't want to make that video 😂..
PC or console gamers will never agree, and they don't have to as everyone chooses to play how they want.
There's nothing wrong with that as long as it can stay somewhat civil..

It's all good mate, just keep being authentic. It's all a bit of banter. :)
Not sure if you own it or not, if you do have Hogwarts Legacy, I just downloaded it on PC and it's literally unplayable with the stutters, well its playable, but the stuttering is really tragic. Wouldn't mind seeing how it runs with your intel / Nvidia set up?
    Keep up the content chief.

      Yeah it's a broken mess.
It's mostly from the RT in the game.
      Hogsmead is absolutely broken.
Turning off RT pretty much fixes it.
Frame gen also helps I believe.
But it will also smooth out after you've run through new areas for the first time.

Listening to your upscaler assessment is interesting. At 4k more leeway you mention. 4k performance dlss looks good to me. I recall you saying surprised you were it looked.
Now 50 inch tv dlss performance 4k.
But if i switch to 3840 x 1600 on my 50 inch tv it asjusts to get the black bars. So at the same viewing distance though the res dropped the screen is smaller so i get a similar pixel ratio. I put dlss perfomanfe on and it looks good.
You said not go below quality or balanced at 1440p and 4k more leeway. I find you statement quite accurare to what im seeing on my tv when i change the resoluiton to inbetween 1440p and 4k.
I feel like dlss performance can scale well below 4k depending on the screen size.
    Have you tried this?
Anyway man your insights are really good and got me thinking about how to maximize my experience. Btw, this will be more and more important for path tracing and just heavy rt games.

@c523jw7 I'd need to try it again but I'm pretty sure I ran DLSS quality and balanced on cyberpunk at 4k and struggled to notice a drop in quality.
At performance I did start to notice a couple of things.
I think one of those was an area I was driving under power lines and they were starting to show ghosting.
I'd have to go back and double check.
The rest of the image remained clean, so it wasn't like it turned into a blurry mess.
I'm pretty sure when I did my 1440p testing in cyberpunk I actually found dlss quality looked better than native.
I'm sure I was able to actually pick up more image data.

I found 4k dlss performance looked better than 1440p dlss quality. Sharper image. I changed the res internally in windows setup and in game so i dont think my tv upscaled up to 4k either. I feel like fg automatically makes you lose quality snd in these pt gsmes im willing to sacrifice some quality. But also I'm modding in dlss 3.7.1 as well which is latest version. Pretty clean

@@c523jw7 Frame gen on a monitor works really well for me.
I wonder if a TV handles it differently.
I'm gonna assume a TV possibly has more latency.
I think a lot of stuff easily gets muddled up when comparing a monitor to a TV..

    • @c523jw7

@@Spratty-wb3isdamn I didn't think about that. I mean it feels good on my tv still. Qn90a latency is very good under 10 I think like 6ms in game mode.
Is a monitor worth it given hdr is pretty ord on a monitor vs a tv. I spoke to a computer store here and they basically said if your after hdr monitors are shite. Unless I spend over 1k

@@c523jw7 it more comes down to how you play or want to play.
I sit at a desk with keyboard and mouse so a monitor is absolutely the only way for me.
If I tried to play on TV with controller I'd be a mess 😂..
But because I am at a dedicated monitor i will have a much higher pixel density and I'm running purely with only dedicated hardware and software.
A monitor with no connection to a PC is purely a black screen.
TVs have all sorts of image scaling techniques going on.

Something i have noticed. Frame gen stuff really has messed everything up.
People look at the fps and think oh that better cus its higher...and its not how this works. 60 to 120 would feel worse than 60 to 90. If a game looks like 90 but feels like 60 thats more normal. Glad you mention that.
I mean you could turn on fsr fg and afmf at same time right?? Frames would be crazy high but my gosh it would feel horrid.
I saw a comment asking what settings for 130fps on cyberpunk on a 4080..i thought the same as you. To get the same fps feeling your probably targetting 90 frames on nvidia to get the same. Like amd double fps so 120 from 60. Nvidia youd target 90.
This is the nuance that is often missed out in some content that is out there on fake frames.

    • @Spratty-wb3is
      @Spratty-wb3is  2 месяца назад +1

Yeah frame gen is definitely not something we will see added into benchmarks as its not counted as actual fps.
I think a few people do mention that Daniel Owens being one of them.
