  • Today I'm once again showing you how to make leather armor! This time it's a wax hardened Leather Gorget, which is armor for your neck. This armor is created with rattan sport fighting in mind as part of the Society for Creative Anachronism, but can obviously be used for all sorts of things including Cosplay, Costumes, or maybe some kind of crazy dog collar. Have fun!

    Well I had a significant number of people ask for this pattern, so here it is. What am I making next that's not armor related? Finally this damn bag I've had on my mind for months I think. Any suggestions?

      Quick question. If you werent using a plastic tab to lock it in would you use another pice of hardened leather?

    I live in criminal neighborhood, so I made this... "gorget" to protect myself from a neck stubbing. All day I walked around a block, looking like a sex slave in that thing. Finally some thug with a knife came and demanded my wallet. I felt that this was my shining moment. "Ha!" said I "Stub me in my neck, you lowlife!"
    He stubbed me in a kidney...
    Thank you, bearded currier!

    Great video! I just invested in a CB4500 (I'm in the UK and can't get the Cobra over here) and I'm just getting to grips with the BEAST. You have an interesting technique for finishing the stitch line without back tacking. Is there and advantage to this over just reversing the machine and going back a couple of stitches?

    • @ElHeebarino
      @ElHeebarino 4 года назад

      @@DarkHorseWorkshop They are a bit quiet. Normally not an issue, but with ads coming on in the middle, you may want to look into boosting the audio output in your mix to match your opening music. That is usually at a good volume.

    Do you ever make riding gear? Motorcycle is what I'm thinking. A number of your armors can be transferred over. But I was wondering about gauntlets/gloves with protection for the knuckles. Those shin guards that go all the way around with knee pads. And helmet ideas. These are a few this I'm wondering about so if you get inspiration from those ideas that would be cool
