Frontal Impact takes place at 64 Km/h, 40% of the width of the car striking a deformable barrier. In the side impact, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door at 50 km/h. In the pole test, the car tested is propelled sideways at 29km/h into a rigid pole.

I own this car. With the x30xe engine and it still drives like a new car and everything works like it should be. I will not sell it, but I will only drive it during summer time because I want to avoid rust damage. Even though this car is worth nothing in money I still love it. Good to know that it's a pretty safe car also 👍🏻

@Dog328 Actually the reason I posted my comment was because the ENCAP's website gave the car only 3 stars because the white model they tested did not have side airbags. They later tested another Omega with site airbags (red) which then got 4 stars. They wrote that on their website also. Just wanted to point that out.

@ottopalosaari8685 Actually it is not. The Omega is better than the saab 9-5, but still both aren't even remotely safe as the Mercedes E class 1998. Not an opinion but a fact.

I have Omega B from 1996 and a guy crashed my back with VW golf VI with 80km/h and to me nothing happend but his golf is totally crashed and omega isn't even it's from 1996 and chassy has over half million kilometers, so I would never replace Omega with any new or newer car it's something that germans will never ever make that good.
Not bad for a car, whose chassis is basically an evolution of the Record's chassis from the 1960's, the GM V-platform (1966-2007).

@koszykasznbaxx ja też mam omegę z 2000r jest trochę rdzy ale nie więcej niż w innych samochodach z tego rocznika. Omega to kawał solidnego i niedocenianego samochodu.
A nie wkurzają Cię podłokietniki w drzwiach tak wąskie, że w ogóle nie spełniają swojej roli i schowek w środkowym podłokietniku, który też jest śmiesznie płytki? Nie znam innego auta z tymi dwoma elementami gorzej zaprojektowanymi, a dla mnie one mają znaczenie. Po drugim lifcie na zewnątrz auto unowocześnili, ale wnętrze spieprzyli (np. jeszcze przez rysujące się gumoplastiki, których wcześniej nie było, no ale cóż, moda się zrobiła i z klapkami na oczach trzeba było to ludziom wcisnąć). Deska po zmianach jeszcze bardziej trąci myszką, bo mamy pomieszanie krągłości z kantami, takie unowocześnianie na siłę, a całej bryły i tak nie zmienili, wcześniej to chociaż było spójne.

@Perplexer1 No, its a 1998 too, just the base (GL) modell, you can see it because of the crome badges on the back, and on the rimcovers, the red one is a CD modell.

@Perplexer1 1st, I owned several ones, and secondly, how can you see whever there is aside airbag or not when the shot was taken from the back? In the red one you can see it only inflates to the front to support the hip of the driver.
Also if you look closely, you notice the chrome badge on the front-left rimcover, those also only where used 1997 onwards, so did the full polstered headrests (those on pre '97 had a hole in it) and the LED 3rd brakelight in the rear window.

Is the 2000-2003 Omega equipped with side curtain airbags and stability control?
JELH As far as I know it has stability control as standart (2000-2003) but for side curtain airbags I am not sure that is available as standard equipment but it is available as an option.
@@nikolaibobanov3330 Side thorax airbags and stability control were standard in the 2000-2003 Omega. Unfortunately side curtain airbags were never available.

Aracın puanlaması biraz karışık o yüzden buraya yazayım. 4 Hava yastıklı olan modelleri 4/5 yıldız. 5i kaybetmesinin sebebide önden çarpışmalarda ayak ve ayak bileği korumasının zayıf olması, yandan ise göğüs koruması nisbeten biraz daha yüksek olabilirmiş euroncap sitesindeki pdf ten bakabilirsiniz. 2 Hava yastıklı olan model ise yandan çarpışmalarda daha zayıf bir göğüs koruması gösterdiği için 3 yıldız aldı
The red one is 1998 model, the white one is 1994 (without side airbags).
@Dog328 No! Omega B models after 1997 have side airbags fitted as standard. The white model in this video does not have side airbags so it is an earlier model. Read more about Omega B history at the awesome site senatorman.de
From all cars tested in 1998, the safest was the Mercedes-Benz E class. That is not an opinion, that's a fact.
Omega b looks better than omega c although it doesn't have satnav like omega c
