Regarding Luxiem vs Stars Luxiem fanbase are fujos and toxic people. They're extremely loyal but it's like getting a wild dogs as pet. They're extremely loyal and act like your attack dogs but they can also go straight to your jugular when you show weakness. Stars? they start strong, but they hit a snag in the middle of their rise. They lost their momentum and kinda hurt themselves in the process by losing some male audience. Some of their audience are nijisanji immigrants and some of them have trace of niji toxicity (but not all of them, crazier fans still stay with luxiem). In the end, male Vtubers still struggle. Even Stars, the last hope for more mainstream male Vtubers struggle to gain ground. It will take them years to get back at their feet. I still blame those two specific people.

There is no reason for them to be blamed for anything imo - they left peacefully with most if not all wishing them luck and the boys continue to talk and meet with them so obviously no hard feelings towards them - along with the boys in their PL stating how fun they had at their old “big” job but realized it wasn’t for them in the long run but still talk fondly of that time if they do. The only thing is they were both one of the ones who attracted the male audience towards stars and with them leaving it kinda hit the momentum BUT the boys still get pretty good average ccv and sometimes even have the same as the golden boys of luxiem. Unless I’m unaware of something, then I don’t see why you’d blame them (if it is those two). I would even say that them leaving got people into stars since more people were interested into getting to know them and knowing why the fandom was sad - a few of my friends got into hololive/cover because of that. I don’t think it would take years for them to get back on their feet since we’re already seeing them gain attention again and are well respected even by people who don’t watch them.
I used to think that stars could compete with/overtake niji males. That it was just lack of knowing they exist was why they weren't as big. But I realized I was way too optimistic. Do I wish they were bigger? Yes. But as long as they can continue to carve out a successful niche for themselves, that's ok to.
I’m just happy Stars make content i actually like than Lux’s weird BFE junk or fujo bait. I don’t want Stars to surpass Luxeim I just want them to still be supported by hololive, make content they actually like and be happy. Also i want the unicorn’s to leave them alone those little pricks 😡
Stars doesnt really care much about numbers. several of them already talked about it even JP Stars. as long as they have passion to make content, there will also be people who will appreciate them. it's also pretty hard for them to overtake Niji males because ChroNoir is already well established on the JP sphere. on the EN side though it might be sooner than we expect 🤭🤭
Its hard to say that Stars gonna surpass se- I mean luxiem, but as long yagoo still adequately support them stars might be surpass luxiem or at least as successful as they are in future (i hope)
