y'know, those interviews remind me a lot about martinsvile back in 2017, when denny hamlin wrecked elliot, hamlin was interviewed and the fans was booing him, harvick today was interviewed and was booed. BOTH of those times, the fans cheered for chase, reminds me a lot about that..

It's always been hard to take Harvick seriously. He ran Chase up the track and almost into the wall, then gets mad when Chase "took away his line and sat there?" Ok, pal. 😂

I witnessed even more aggressive racing then this at my local short track the same night as this race. The drivers got out of their cars and gave each other a high five and talked in their interviews about how exciting it was to put put on a good show and thanked the fans for coming. Then there is NASCAR 😒Support your local tracks people!! 😆

I would love to be racing in the cup series and putting on a good show for people and getting into those old school battles for the lead but unfortunately things change over time

Chase’s little vengeance tantrum was childish, the boy has a temper. Harvick did what chase and every other driver has done to win a race at one time or another. The vengeance thing is petty. Its racing dont be a baby, both were, but i really thought chases actions were out of line. I hope they talked out enough that each does not try to ruin the others remaining races, but, probably not.

With no time trials, qualifications, and prerace adjustments. The Chevys and Toyotas have taken advantage of the postCovid track qualifications that would have made track positioning more manageable on teams prerace adjustments. That's Nascar and Corporations that sponsor these events where they make the profits, excluding Ford, both the Chevy and Toyota Manufacturers merged together in both sells, productions, and inventory. That were the profits careen into these Corporations. If Fords need to be more competitive, they need to merge with Dodge or Honda, rather than being at a disadvantage by the other manufacturers. Mind you!.

Im a Chase fan and Chase could of easily put Harvick in the wall but he didn't cause he would know he'd get suspended for 2 racec or 3 so taking ur aggression and blocking someone is a smarter move than putting in the wall. It sorta doesn't matter though considering they are moving on both to the playoffs though
I like both drivers, but Chase sort of messed his own self up. Harvick pinned him behind a lapped car and took the spot. Chase chose to go 3 wide into the corner, with himself being the middle car. He also tried to pin the 4 car down low, knowing that it was probably going to wash up into his own car. Like you said though, it’s all good, they both moved on into the play-offs.

@@rtanner7335 I'm a huge fan of both drivers, and I agree with you. Everybody saying Harvick ran him up the track. They ignore the sole details though, such as Harvick's car getting wobbly. When Chase forced Harvick down the track, he forced Harvick to get loose. Chase just simply got impatient.
Either way, it is hard racing. What happened after, was no longer hard racing. Elliot held Harvick up for Larson. Elliot gave up trying to race there. It's one thing to stand up for yourself and your teammate, but only when you were wronged. Not when you were in the wrong. Respect for them talking it out though.

I believe Chase did get impatient, and his youth was sort of put on display. He is lucky though b/c Harvick has grown up a lot. Harvick complained that Chase wouldn't let him run his line. It's a race! The entire point is to win, not let someone else win! Harvick sounds like an entitled veteran who feels people should just let him win when he finally gets close at the end once or twice a year. I've always thought of Harvick as a dirty driver. People are going to end up racing you like you race them; you want to run Chase up the track (not letting him run his line 🥴😱) then don't whine when he returns the favor. 🤷♂️

NASCAR could stop a lot of this if they wanted too. Original issue was Harvick slid up the track and cut a tire on Elliots car. They allow the exhaust pipes sticking out of the right side to be used as a weapon - drivers know that if the inside car slides up the track, there is a good chance the sharp pipes will cut the outside cars tire sidewall, with little chance of them cutting their own tire. I understand why the pipes exit on the right side - to keep from exhaust gassing the gas can man during pit stops. OK - so put a dummy exhaust exit on the drivers side, that would be equally likely to cut a tire during contact. Pretty sure the drivers would try harder to hold their car down in their lane if they had to worry about cutting their own tires.
