You know what it is. If LSU is going to make a big deal about this, Parents talk to your kids about being recruited by LSU. Maybe look at other schools. Red States are Red for a reason. I grew up in the south.
Because they hate LSU snd our ignorant governor, (that I voted for), is trying to make a name for himself! HVL was only here for a year to learn the PG position and wanted to play for Mulkey, was no surprise to anyone that’s she’s leaving. Valez is leaving to find more playing time…everyone gets a start, eventually. Mulkey, imo, is a much better coach than Staley, Bluder or any of the others, has more experience and more championships! They criticize LSU for everything! It’s sickening!

Never understood Kim leaving Baylor for LSU, especially after having won a championship so recently. I think she needed a fresh start. Fortunately (or unfortunately) she got a super star in angel reese who in her second year got her that championship. However it’s not controversial to say that since Kim has taken over, LSU has a very specific culture that just isn’t for everyone. We can see that when it comes to the recruits. It works for Flau’jae, it works for Aneesah, it REALLY worked with Angel. But this program is kinda like the miami heat, you gotta be an LSU type player. Very interested to see if Kim continues coaching (she did what she promised) and how the LSU program fairs post Angel Reese.
Jeff Landry must not want to be re-elected.

Regarding HVL, what kind of revisionist history was that? HVL made no sacrifice to come to LSU to play a new position. SHE WANTED to play the point guard position, and her coach at Louisville said NO! Wonder why?!? She saw LSU as a ticket to the limelight and big stage. This past season was supposed to be her big break to the WNBA. However, she failed. Why? The SEC is better than the ACC and this conference plays DEFENSE. Go back and view HVL and Louisville vs. SC in the final four that season. What did she do? Nothing. When faced with top talent as an opponent, HVL will be mediocre at best.
Everyone had been saying HVL was an Achilles heel and she was. She used her leverage to get to LSU didn't earn the spot. I starting to think the girl was a dam plant. I wish she had never come to LSU truthfully.
You 100% right Louisville let her go because he knew her glaring limitations.
I get tired of the "sacrifice" word in general. You're here because you want to be, you're foregoing other things because YOU want to be a better player. College athletes are not sacrificing anything, to the contrary they're getting an opportunity to do things they wouldn't otherwise be able to.
Seems like all year long…..there was a battle between Kim and Angel…fighting for the ‘most outrageous’ comment or moment …or outfit…..fighting for air time on tik tok or grabbing the Mike away from each other…apologizing and dancing around their real despise for each other….shame when these two couldn’t focus on the game and allow the other players an environment to succeed in again. Angel leaving for her Hollywood gig..of being selfish and selling herself and modeling contract…will clear the space for Kim to build another Team….if she can just find some more glitter for her outfits! Go Tigers!

Sooner or later it will all come to the surface, and the Blow Back won't be good for a College with a Terrific Rep for their Women's Basketball Program. The LSU Lady Baller's Excellent Reputations are well deserved, for their Level Of Play, so Kudos to them ALL.

Mulkey really Can't Walk On Water, even in Lake Pontchartrain.
She has had Moments Of Brilliance, as a Winning Coach, but it appears that Time, Stress, and her own Hubris are taking their Toll.
I'd say that a "Bobby Knight Moment" is in the offing for Kim, and it's always sad when that happens to Anybody, even if they bring it upon themselves.

UConn for all home games does the anthem right before player names are announced. Everyone is always present. How about the NCAA changes the anthem time to right before player announcements rather than 12 minutes before the game. Teams typically take the floor 20 minutes before game time for a few minutes then go back to the locker room. Usually comes back out about 5 minutes before game time. Play the anthem right before the game everyone is on the floor.
How about following the constitution. It's called Freedom of Speech.
The anthem is set by TV not the NCAA.
Sense of emergency? Why don’t you have some insight to why the top three players in the country didn’t even consider LSU.
HVL is a non issue now. She got Fed Up With "The Walking Mardi Gras Float", AKA, Coach Mulkey, and Bailed.

That coach was behind their loss...she was playing for the other team...
HVL needs to get herself a good one on one coach and work her butt off in the gym in this off-season, she has all the natural talent but needs some home truths about what is needed to play at the top level and hone in on the things she is good at and build up the weaknesses. She is a beautiful young lady with a lot of natural talent just needs an off-season of blood, sweat, and tears in the gym to prepare herself for her final year and prepare for the WNBA Draft 2025.

I will tell you the reason. Kim Mulkey, when faced with the reporter’s question, about the team not being, on the court, for the National Anthem presentation, instead of admitting that they have a pre-game procedure, that they follow; she chose to offer a lame,untrue rationalization, for their absence. If she felt so strongly, to adhere, to that policy, she should have just said that.
First off, her body language became uncomfortable with such a strange question. It was quite obvious she gave the true answer but was perplexed at the odd question. What did that question have to do with the game?

She definitely needs a PR agent ,she can coach her ass off . But man her mouth and the words that exit it make her a tougher sell than what she should be.

@@tko8218 I don’t think the things that come out of her mouth are any worse than those out of Staley’s mouth! KM is genuine, no BS and a straight shooter! She tells it like it is, take it or leave it. People don’t like her because she sugar costs nothing! And everyone has a right to defend themselves and their team, and she certainly does.
Her coaching was horrible against Iowa; for leaving vanlith against Clark all by herself and didn’t make any kind of adjustments.
@@mistapropa408 I think she knows the game well enough to know what she’s doing! We have no 6’5” Amazonian on our team to stay in her face! I think her only mistake was having enough trust in Van Lith to handle the position! She needed Flau’jae where she was and she played a hell of a game! Van Lith had no desire to be in that game, and her efforts , or lack of, showed! And they only won by 7 pts! I think we held them pretty well, considering Reese re-injured her ankle and I don’t think Poa was 100% that soon after a concussion that knocked her out.
@@aimeesimoneaux6197 Yeah, that's true. Media is also taking selective clips of "controversial comments" and creating a H`ll Storm about it--for both Coach Mulkey and Stanley as well. I guess anyone in the coaching spotlight is a target.
Anyhow, I hope LSU can re-set it's team next season--and I'm sure it'll happen.

She didn’t come into the season fit and it showed.
Kim promised her too much, kicked Katerina Poole off the team to give HVL more minutes.
Kim runs a dirty program and the defections and HOW these ladies left.
HVL cam to play PG because she wants to enter the W as a pg. she is not a pro and may need to find out what the Cavinder Twins are doing because she could have a similar future!
The program is dirty because of Kim.
They aren't the only one's disrespecting our country but it's equally disgusting and turns American's off. It's ruining baseball, women's soccer etc. women's college basketballs rise in popularity was over when Clark decided to leave.

Bottom line up front Angel Reese blew Clark up. If she had never did the John Sena waves or points to the ring finger we don't have the racism/WS blowup demonizing media blow up.. These cult followers just couldn't stomach that after an all white team knock off the defending undefeated champions they got mopped up against the team the undefeated defending champions beat by 20 points. Reese and LSU became the disrupters of the champion they were grooming. They felt Catlin chance to win it all was last year so they still mad and put together a media campaign to destroy Reese and LSU not only because they won but because they blew Iowa out the gym. Clark was one of the big three that college basketball had planned to showcase for WCBB they played 3 on 3 USA basketball and we're the next set of college stars. LSU will come back sooner than you think.
I knew one of the freshmen would leave the program and suspected it would more likely be Velez.

HVL didn't have to come to LSU to play PG...that was all her doing she wanted to come to LSU to entertain. All she had to do was learn the position of PG to add to her skill set. No one forced her to come to LSU nor did they seek her out. She called Mulkey the night she hit the portal.
@@politicallil7060 KM had recruited her heavily before she went to Louisville. She trained with Kobe and Gianna. To really build her game, the SEC is where she should’ve been from the beginning. Louisville is not in the toughest conference. Just wonder who’s going to pick her up after seeing the last end of her season.
