Piggy is the only sensible character in this story line so far, as well as the only likable one. He’s the one with the best ideas and realizes failure, unlike Ralph who runs away from his problems and even denies it. As a leader he isn’t very fair either, he doesn’t acknowledge Piggy’s efforts and how he’s mistreated and nor does he or anyone take advice from Piggy just due to the fact is over weight. I know the chronological setting was way back when during the late 1930s or so but the difference between how 12 year olds of that age and this age think is astronomical!

Fun fact: the boys are British, you can tell when in chapter 1 Piggy says "mum" and also when Ralph says asmr meading asma (sorry if there is any misspelled words)
this is a blessing, i swear. i have to read this for school and i usually like reading but lately, i can't seem to focus on my work :,)...anyway, this is a spectacular book so far and i'm only proving my point that i gain attachment to the characters everyone in my class seems to hate haha

This book is about a bunch of British kids in ww2 going completely animalistic on a random island after a plane crash while evacuating from England and a kid talking to a dead pig head... this is very psychotic... I LOVE IT Edit: I just noticed that when piggy spoke some words were in a British accent and some weren't what the HELK
