  • A group of Millwall supporting hooligans travels to Spain for the 1982 World Cup Finals soon after the start of the Falklands War. One member of the gang is bent on avenging a personal loss.

    Originally broadcasted in 1990, filmed in 1989 but set in 1982. I remember me and my younger brother and sisters first watching this.

    Watched it last night for the first time in 30 years ! Definitely of its time but still well worth a watch.

    Had this on cassette but its somewhere in a box in the loft if ive still got it . Great to watch it again after 20 odd years !

    All I had was a couple of detached memories: the Leeds lad fecking them off from a bar and them deliberately widdling themselves in police custody. I had no idea of the title, the year, actors or anything. Fair play for uploading. I haven't watched but I might later.

    Watched this in 1990
    Reg Burr the Millwall chairman at the time called it "evil filth".
    Released b4 Italia 90 hence the title arriverderchi although they go to Spain. The footage looks like Millwall v Southampton from 1989 despite being set in 1982

    *Just needed to be 30 minutes longer!* 50 minutes with the story line and characters they were throwing at us here is *too* short. Still, a great insight into 80s/early 90s British football life/culture though. Plus a good watch, innit?

    The steaming of the fashion shops was something the scouser's started in the late 70s when most fashion shops in Europe were steamed regularly so much so people actually started legitimate business selling what became the 80s casual scene purely facts it all started in the NW ✊🏻🇬🇧

      1980 Liverpool, The Scousers who would go on to be Dressers, Casuals will start from 1980 = Adidas Samba, Faded Lee Straight Leg Jeans, Peter Storm 'Green Kagoule, Lacoste T Shirt, Ellesse t shirt a throwback that should never to be returned for sale.
      Or Lee Straight Laed Jeans, Baggy Shirt, Crew Neck Jumpers, Dark colours grey black navy dark green, ..Haha i had thr monopoly on attire as lads wouldnt venture into the pink, lemon etc, had a nicce litttle run cheers..Adidas Trackie Bottoms Adidas Samba, quickly moving by 1982 to Tacchini Trackie Tops More Lacoste, Hurley, Stuarts, Harrods and odd little shops we would pass by, Keighley, Pose in Batley, Schofields in Leeds, Victoria Quarter Leeds , Austen Reed, Hugo Boss and Word of mouth from one group of lads to another

      @@angie-smart-but-casual the Liverpool lads where wearing Lois jeans lecoste from 77 , we were Wearing samba bamba etc from 75 Levi jeans etc . We were in Europe right through the 70s. I remember United fa cup.79 at goodison replay. The many escort was brought around from where Anfield cemetery to the park rd end 90% of them still had them airwear boots on doc Martin's and wrangler jackets etc like we'd wear around 74 , we was wearing kickers and pod 78 Lois jeans when we travelled away agames the other firms thought we where softies they soon gotta shock YNWA back then Liverpool & Everton would team up unstoppable days YNWA

      @JanMan-qk4ic I was 13 in 77 so was only allowed home games till 1980 all my mates were scousers Annie Rd end seats..I wore what they wore and they'd bringvnmmr back trainers from Rotterdam etc.as I took size 4 trainers being a little dhit at 5 foot 4 so you don't have to preache to the converted. Mate

    Great film, one of the best football casuals films I've seen and miles better than The Firm, which was like watching a load of yuppies with the hump, a cringe fest

    I worked at Hays Wharf in Vine Lane off Tooley Street in 1985, I remember blokes like this, the notorious Luton game happened while I was there. They were mad.
