I was heavily influenced by the casual scene when I was 14, mainly because of the film Football Factory, to be honest haha! I started attending football matches and dressed myself with FP, Henri Lloyd, Hackett, Barbour, Lois jeans etc, daily until my early twenties. Then, things changed-I got a serious job and my life took a different turn. I don’t wear the clobbers as much anymore in my daily life, but I still know everything about the scene from back then. And im thankfull for that! It’s funny how some lads come to me with a new Mille Miglia jacket while I’ve known about that jacket long before they could even ride a bike! Sometimes, I really miss those days. I still go to football matches, but it’s sad to see that the casual culture has faded in the Netherlands. Now, it’s mainly about Ultras, which I appreciate as well. I still try to wear proper clobbers on match days. Anyway, I’m 32 now, and I’m really grateful I could experience the last years of the casual culture. I visiting nowadays matches in the UK and I love how easy it is to pick out the old lads who were part of the scene in the '90s, early 2000s. To be honest, most of the youth today just don’t compare to these days. Imagine the scene in the 80s! Happily pre ordered my "Dressers" Book Cheers lads

@@ijs6427 So facking what? You've been copying London fashions for decades. Liverpool fashions didn't move on, I was at Goodison in 86 and they were still wearing Sergeo Taccini. Never saw the Scousers get into Pringle, too busy nicking Kappa.
Always loved Burberry it was classic British style. I went in their shop the other day and it looks like a charity shop. Jeans with holes in paint stains etc that I'd throw away if mine got in that state. The few old classics had patches of burberry check and Burberryy in big letters on the back. No class no style just a big price tag
Most football hooligan films are about a bunch of guys going around beating everyone up, this is more interesting because it follows a bunch of guys who get turned over. It shows the reality, it was a pretty nasty scene and not at all glamorous. F*ck knows what the attraction was. Getting my head kicked and possibly being bottled isn't my idea of a good day out.
