Pour a cup of tea and watch while I make one of my daily tea sketches - this time with my red onion skin ink! Real time, no chat.
I have been making daily tea sketches for the last 6 months now. They are a way of reinforcing the habit of daily creativity.
They are wonky and splodgy, they are (apart from, I think, one exception) in pen and ink, they are quick, quirky, quite often blind contour drawings, I don't worry about perspective, they are fun and each one is different.
I love them. And I love tea. Tea has always been my thing. I love the ceremony of making it, I love teapots, I have favourite mugs (I’m not a bone china tea cup girl) and I love the psychology of tea - comfort, refreshment, nurture, sharing, reviving, soothing, ritual.

I make Black Walnut ink and am pouring some in a jar to share with a friend. I am curious about the onion skin ink!
