Many Thanks Michael! Glad to see your road is opening up again...I've been watching your stuff researching for my upcoming trip to LA (July 29-Aug.2) a quick 4 nights/5days. Your wisdom has saved me a lot of time and will enrich my moments. A music/history pilgrimage/first time as an adult in LA. Laurel Cyn, Sunset Strip haunts, Polo Lounge, Dan Tana's, Bob Dylan/Willie Nelson at Hollywood Bowl, A Troubadour gig, capped off with a visit to SRF Lake Shrine and a day walking Point Dume, dinner at Geoffrey's Malibu and back on the evening flight home to Vancouver, BC. I'll raise an iced coffee in your honor! peace and all the best, Dan
Michael! We need more videos! You've grown so much since I subscribed at 500! Please talk about the fancy restaurant chains in Los Angeles like Sidecar Donuts, Mendocino Farms, and Jon and Vinny's! Love the content and can't wait to move to LA!
Wow this video is exactly what I needed to ponder. I'm 29 years old and did the traditional college path, only to drop out when the pandemic started because I was making good choices, but they weren't the right choices for me and led me into a deep depression. I got involved in a little bit of local filmmaking and always dreamed of "making it in LA" so to speak. I even recently just finished a semester of film school, but I'm hitting a dead end: I know I love filmmaking, but I realize it comes with 10+ hour shifts five days a week. Yes, I love the film industry, but I also want time for my personal life outside of my career passion and I don't know if there's a way to have both. I have a good savings account and could move to LA if I wanted to, I just don't have a career plan. I really need to ponder what "making it in LA" means to me and how I can achieve that. Any advice?
go for what you love and keep improving your craft on the side, film school can only teach you so much so just keep practicing and find what it is exactly you want to do in film! for me, after making so many YT vids - the writing part has become my favorite. Network in LA, take classes, join groups and you’ll find your way!
@@MichaelMartello Some very synchronistic points you made in the video that were on my mind about LA today confirming something very creative and mystical about that place I will discover when I get there .Excellent video !
I’m sooo freaking happy for you - and I can relate… coming to the realization, that I want to only make content that makes me happy and excited.🎉 Love love love your videos !
Hello Michael, I discovered your channel a few days ago and I loved it. I have always been very curious about this city and you are making me learn a lot. It is the first channel I watch in English. Greetings from Asturias Spain! keep it up friend!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love the part of "love and belonging". I moved from Spain to Utah 16 years ago and that's a very important part when moving by yourself to a new place , especially a new big city like Los Ángeles. I truly enjoy your videos and how you have a different "vision" than many LA RUclipsrs. BTW , if I ever see you in LA , coffee , vegan Mexican or an Erewhom smoothie is on me .
Buena Vista Park is not in the Castro district. It's on a hill above and in between the Duboce Triangle, Cole Valley, the Haight and the Castro. Thanks for a most excellent video!
Special thanks to my business manager & financial advisor for making this movie possible😅
Your videos always make me want to pack it all up and just move to L.A.

Wow thanks I appreciate it so much! 🙌🏻
I think making it on youtube now means making it in Greenville, NC. You might consider a little trip to visit Beast studios. Jimmy is the new mogul.
Great video! Though you look a bit too young for Chuck Klosterman.
A 90s book for a 90s baby!🕺🏼
Your business manager is giving Joe Goldberg 😆
You should make a video on touring south central Los Angeles.
Another great video Michael!! Great job! Btw your financial advisor is hot, can you pass him my number? 😁🤪
🤣
Yeah, I want his number too!
Would it boost your self-esteem to know that this dude is watching from the other side of the planet and wishing he was there too?
