Yakuza devs probably worked on Sega Genesis stuff back in the day, and japanese companies tend to have worked for their companies for long times. I guess that's why it just sounds so good when you bring it to the Blast, they were using their instincts they built up working on the Genesis and so on.
when I was learning guitar as a youngin the guy coaching me put me onto a bunch of old school sega tracks. he told me apparently they used the guitar, steel and bass heavily from the beginning. even in their crappiest games the music is full of bangers
