The war was technically won by the U.S. and NATO, the objective was to prevent the Communists from conquering South Korea, and the border still stands, thanks to bravery of the soldiers who fought the communists. Thank you dear god for victory in Korea!
I guess there was a kind of victory in 1950. Unfortunately, it soon fell apart. And, the war in Korea still goes on. Still, for historical purposes, I am glad this song is still available. My uncle died in S. Korea in September 1950 as a U. S. Infantry scout. I am trying to understand the war and the times.
Sorry for your loss, my Granduncle was seriously wounded by a missile in 1952. He was a light weapons infantryman. 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. Fortunately, he survived. Harlen William Clark (him not me)
Thanks to many American soldiers like your uncle who saved Korea,I think this song doesn't just represent the victory of 1950,On behalf of the United States, Americans helped South Korea overcome Chinese, North Koreans and the Soviets,It defeated North Korea's undeclared war, the Chinese's human sea tactics, and the Soviet Union's artillery and ammunition.thank America for watching over the free world and Sacrifice and dedication
@@MangasColoradas941 I am sure it is just the "luck of the draw" from the slideshow feature. A very funny coincide and no one should take offense. Thanks for providing this.
Agree! Jimmie jumped the gun and released the song in 1950 thinking that the war was in the bag. Things start to literally go south shortly after that.
As a Korean American my greatest thanks goes to all who helped to defend my homeland. Even if total victory was not achieved it was still a victory.

by all means it was a victory
Sorry for your loss, I still consider it a victory because our objective was to defend South Korea's independence from the evils of communism

Then the Russians helped the Chinese modernize their military and industry in the 1950s,As a result, your was plotted by the Chinese in the 1960s?
Wow! Incredible U.S. propaganda! Used to listen to this in the mid-60s at the Heritage in Mission Beach. We have been so brainwashed!

KInky you can’t blame him, we were in the border of Pyongyang with what we though was little resistance.
@@michaelbabcock186 too bad china happened
Wait until you learn that the Chinese call it the War to Resist American Aggression and Aid North Korea.
@@AmericanBadger87 Yet the Chines seemed keen on fucking off when we threatened them with nukes
