I have the utmost respect for voice actors, especially after watching this show. The fact that all they had was a script and a microphone in the middle of a small studio, and were still able to show so much raw emotion, is super impressive.
This is what so many people don’t understand about voice acting. They think that just because the audience doesn’t see you physically doesn’t mean you can’t express emotions your character is going through. A voice can show a lot

I love the detail of him genuinely despairing and being torn up about the fact that she’s seen through his lie and hates him for it. The way he talks to Mark later, you’d think it meant nothing to him, but it’s genuinely painful for him to deal with because he knows he can’t hide his true self anymore and the life he had with Debbie is gone. The writing in this show is something else.
