    Dude you are the Man!!! I just hit the reset button that I had no clue where it was and seat back 15 minutes for it to work. Bam I’m back watching my TV. I cannot think you enough.

      So I didn’t have to unplug the tv, but I had to go through steps from my email. They ask for a credit card and I skipped all those steps. I choose my tv network and then it worked.

    Hey bud, your fix finally worked. Had to do it several times but it finally worked. A couple of times when I finally got to the home screen and during setup, it would go back into recovery mode for some reason. I was persistent (I think after my 5th try) it finally allowed me to do a full setup. Thanks for helping the frustrated!!!

When I was trying to explain to them.I figured out what was wrong with their product, Considering it has affected thousands I have multiple videos On this issue with this brand, I'm just glad that it has helped so many.     Buddy, you are the BEST! It took less than 5 minutes, I didn't even have to unplug the TV. My Roomate/tenant was moving out today and said I could have her TV if I could fix it. She had gone out and bought another one when she read she had to update the software with a USB stick. Thanks, I liked and subscribed.

    Dude! You are my m*********ing hero. I gave my mom my 55" TCL and when the power went out one day it went into recovery mode. I have spent a couple months trying to fix this thing and you solved it for me in 5 mins. You ever come to IL and the beers on me.

    This worked fantastic. It brings you into a new purple recovery screen. It was very specific action to make it work. While TV is plugged in and on, hold in reset. Unplug TV while holding in reset, then plug it back in while still holding reset, and wait for the power light to start blinking, (it takes some time), then release reset. This unbricked the TV and allowed to update the software.

      Thank you for the Comment your welcome and for future reference I found out that when it does this it's a protection thing that the tv goes into if its unplugged or some type of surge issue, you just have to get it programmed right back to that code kinda like a Universal remote but yeah right on 😁👍

    This just worked for me! July 6,22. TV plugged in, reset button held in, unplug TV while holding reset button in, plug TV back in while still holding reset button in (the hard part with one person), when the light at the bottom of the TV came on and started blinking release and push in the reset button in sync with the flashing light. I didn't know how long to continue the in and out with the flashing light but I counted to 100. Then I stopped and released the reset button, and the TV went back to normal screen (in about 20 seconds, like usual). All this after I tried the wireless update, as well as the USB d/l update from Rokutv more than a few times.

      Mine also started acting funny after a USB update for the WiFi. But after trying this it still turns on and off, it's stuck in a reboot cycle.

      @@jasonlockhart3168 My Roku TV kept having that issue eventually. Got in touch with Roku(?) and explained. They admitted to having an issue with the TV's motherboard/command module (don't remember the exact term) after asking for the TV's serial number. They then asked if I still had my receipt, which I did, and agreed to have that faulty part replaced even though it was after the warranty had expired. They even sent a tech to replace it, at no cost to me! So give that a shot. Just be polite; you can catch more flies with honey...

    Yo so i just got this 60in TV and it just stays in TCL•Roku TV 4kHD red. And after a some time goes black. It turns back on back to the red screen with logo again.

    I'm stuck on this " let's get started mode" and the remote is not working with the TV. Got a new remote and still not working. The remote is fine. It's the TV. Anyone know what it could be and how to fix it?

      Press the pairing button next to the batteries on the remote, then hold until it flashes yellow

    My TCL 55in TV I just turned on for the first time I'm having problem when I turned on the TV iselect English after I select English it go to the next step when I click and United States it's not going to the next option that I watch on RUclips to set it up

      Thank you for your comment, However I suggest To download the roku app And connect it to your Wi-Fi And it can be used as a remote .. And or if you have another remote or even possibly a universal remote And then there should be directions to follow the sync process, That's the only thing I can currently think of .

      I highly recommend that you watch this one And hopefully this will help you and I recommend, To read through all the comments, Because others were able to get it back to work , And I had a TV that was doing that same thing so I had to, Actually when I got it back to normal, I had to turn it off and on with the remote a few times so that it locked the code or whatever it is ruclips.net/video/B1InbuOHZDI/видео.html

    July, 2022. Some TCL TVs have a known issue with their 'motherboard'. Bought mine in Oct. 2020. Summer 2022 kept crashing to purple recovery screen. Contacted TCL and they sent someone out to replace the board, for free! You'll need receipt and serial number handy.

    It worked 100% so what I'm getting that this is a way to manually exit out of recovery mode so there's ways to manually enter recovery mode I'm assuming this is a failsafe to manually exit out of it and for some reason what the problem with this glitch is is that it's not recognizing that once it does the update that the recovery mode is done so you basically have to hard exit
    But the problem is how you heart exit it's not like a smartphone where you have to press two buttons at once
    It's a multiple setup of pin and hole unplugged TV and then at the exact moment you have to put the pin in the hole and plug the TV in at the same time and that's hard to do with two hands they're basically expecting a setup process that requires two people or four hands which is effing ridiculous in my opinion.
    But this did remove me from recovery mode keep in mind that recovery mode can be offset and buy something as simple as a power outage that's what did it for me particularly I think a lot of the problems I keep hearing about is having a power outage while on the Netflix app. I'm not saying it's a cause of this glitch but maybe it's something to do with Netflix and the way it's coded into the system somehow messing with the recovery setup which would be a million to one weirdness if it was..
    Anyways I'm staying to my word subscribed liked and appreciate the fix

      Hey I really appreciate you looking into depth like that and I made two videos and yes I believe that it is something to do with powder outage stuff to ultimately protect the TV however I feel there may possibly be a bug for some individuals.. you know there have been people that have contacted Roku and basically my videos are the only ones that have helped them and the individuals told me that I should get paid from the company however that's at their discretion and honestly I just wanted to do it just to help people you know That's my whole point of my RUclips channel is to try to help people and me myself I love to learn new things also but I really appreciate the comment and I'm hoping that one day I can get more recognition so that I can actually create content that will help a lot of people because I've got a lot of stuff that I would like to put out there again thank you for your feedback 😁💯

    You get a subscribe..I didn't really unplug or anything.. just started pressing the reset button over and over very fast and it finally came back on.. now should I still send it away like tcl wanted?

    It works just for about one hour. My TV got stuck on recovery mode after the internet went out.But after I do your method it still don't stay on but ty though

      Hey sorry That I never responded They never gave me a notification However Someone else brought that up to me and they basically said that it was something Faulty in their power source And from my understanding they returned The TV and swapped it out for the same Model And then did not have any problems.. So honestly It's individually based.. However My simple solution that may possibly work is After you get it Out of recovery mode.. To try to prevent it from going back in there.. Is as soon as you get it out And you can turn the TV on And off a few times with it not being in recovery mode .. Then turn it off Again Unplug the TV And hold down the power button For 10 to 30 seconds while the TV is unplugged .. and then plug it back in Power the TV backup And then use your TV as you normally do And if it reverts back again Ultimately all I can say is I believe you would have a faulty unit But hopefully everything I just wrote here will help 💯😁👍

    A tiny reset button...I did NOT see that coming. I kept pressing this huge button on the back, thinking that was the reset button. *facepalm* Thanks, m'dude!
    My problem was different. I couldn't update! Even after a factory reset. So I had to GO to recovery mode. That's where I was able to force the update. Now my TV works again!

      Did you get it for real because I intintually just unplugged my tv to put it back in Recovery mode again and I'm trying a different method also to see if I can get this other method to work and basically this happens because it's a way that it protects your tv let me know if you got it if not I will put up a different method I have to force my tv into Recovery mode like 10x just to make sure I give you all Real 100% content please let me know thank you

      @@jilljill8568 it's all good I literally been intintually putting my tv into Recovery mode it's a surge protection type of thing its actually protecting the tv now this other method I've been doing so far has worked 8x let me do it 2 more times just so I know I have it perfected than I will get back to you😁👍

    I try to do it while pushing the reset button but it didn't work the tv turns off and then back on after that appears a screen to select language and that's it

    Thanks bro ,,Not gonna lie if i had it to do over i would not have bought this Roku TV and sound bar, when i turn the tv on goes straight to home screen , then i have to unplug the hdmi cable and plug it back in to get the volume to work .

    Hey I just figured out that they have an app where they have the Roku remote on your cell phone for the TV so maybe if you try downloading the app then maybe then it would work

      Thank you for the comment but you can not fix Recovery mode with the remote or app at the current time again thank you for letting people know you can use the remote to control the tv .. that goes for if you have wifi or if your cell phone has infrared...😁💯👍
