- This is a comparison and sound demo of the Compass, the Sail, and the Alpha-three jaw harps from Russian master craftsman Dmytry Glazyrin.
Spacial FX sprincled in some places for added space.
You can get Glazyrin harps in the following reputable places:
www.oberton.pro/ (Russia, ships world wide)
shamanic.ru/ (Russia, ships world wide)
www.gandharvaloka.ie/ (Europe, ships world wide)
I have no affiliation with the above stores - but in my experience, all three are reputable, trustworthy, and overall excellent. Let me and other viewers know in the comments if you know more places that sell nice harps! 😎
Thanks for watching!

Damn that is some smokin fast pluckin. Harp on, my friend.
Same to you :) It's actually your 'fault' that I rediscovered the jaw harp, so thanks for that!
Great comparison and demo. Thank you. You play great sir.
Very nice demo 😊
Brilliant review pal, much enjoy this ;)
Thanks I appreciate it! New harp incoming (heavily delayed), I might put up my review of it :)
Great video!
Cool stuff. 😮
I own the first and agree wholeheartedly with you. Hmmmmm…now to try the Alpha.
Thank you for your demonstration, Vlad.
Compass Play: 4:48

Helpful and
I am playing in the "Lighthouse" and "Wave"😃!!! It's a very good vargans!!! I recommended this vargans for to play🤓☝️!!!
Haven’t tried the Wave yet, I might. Thanks Dmitrij 😎
Love my lighthouse. Its perfect for the music I play to. I think it's in a *G*
@@voodoochicken9592 What music do u play to? I wanna maybe jam over homebrewed Digitakt techno tunes with it some time!
What is vargans?
Hi. Do the screws on the jaw harp need to be tightened up after some time, or they hold without tightening the whole time?
Hey 👋🏽
Nope, I've never experienced this.
They are extremely well (made by expert craftsmen.)
I'd not worry about it. :)
@@SnaptoGrid Hi, Thanks for your answer. Glad to hear that. I have already ordered the Glazyrin Lighthouse (have seen your todays jam - thumbs up) and the Pavel Potkin Standard. Looking forward to receive them
Wooo congrats on your purchase-you won’t be disappointed! Have they arrived yet? 😎
Was just checking comments and for some reason this one never showed up previously. 🥲
Odd Question But Do these Work When the Harp Player Has No teeth Left?
You’re right, that is an odd question. I’ve never heard of nor met a jaw harp player with particularly damaged teeth. In fact, with anything but an absolutely excellent set of teeth.
Let me know if you do, it would be great to know.
To answer the question from a practical perspective, I’d say yes but with less treble overtones due to a softer contact area (gums vs. teeth).
@@SnaptoGrid Thanx for a respectable answer here
Do u have lessons??? 😢
Too hard to understand him and too vague sometimes I don't really know which harp is which
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, and it's an old video, I should probably make a new one once I get some new harps! 🙌🏼
