Sonic as a concept was always about rewarding level familiarity. Speedrunning was the main idea when designing Sonic in the first place which is probably why people like IGN hate everything about Sonic. It is very much a trial and error sort of game that rewards you for learning each stage. Not a lot of people like to adapt with games so of course their are people who just plain suck at them.
At first I thought Sonic's voice sounded a little different compared to the one I heard as a child. Then I was confused if it was an accident he jumped out of the map. Then I was blown away at how he was so quick at finishing the course. Then I heard what language Sonic was speaking and it all made sense. Great job, man. You're a true pro

Yeah it is, here's what you need to do: -Collect and keep a lot of rings. -Do qtes and hit rainbow rings. -Go through checkpoints/goal with a lot of speed. -Kill enemies -Do everything above as fast as possible without dying.
