Lesley grew up in Canada so she wrote the original song《Tonight》in English when she was going through a hard time. She said that her brother Benji and this song saved her life because after she wrote the melody, she started to think about the musical arrangement, what instruments should be used, how the vocal arrangement should be made, etc. This motivated her to produce the song properly. Later she approached Pong Nan (藍奕邦) to write the Cantonese lyrics for her. Therefore《念》was born. It's my favourite song by Lesley and it helped me through some hard times also.
