I have an interesting Elvis story for you ... one you might like. Back in the summer of 56' when my mom was a 16 year old, the family had went on a beach trip to Jacksonville Beach, FL. Unbeknownst to them, Elvis was appearing at the Florida Theater in Jacksonville. Mom related to us that some of the performers of the show came out to the beach to that day to do publicity for the show. One of the performers was a young Elvis Presley. She said that the girls on the beach gather up around Elvis and Scotty Shaw (Elvis' guitarist). They formed kind of a circle around them. Well, Scotty started playing the guitar and Elvis started singing and going around the circle, randomly picking a girl out and dance with her for a few seconds. My mom was one of those girls! Mom's 80 years old now, and every time she tells of that story, her eyes light up. She says that Elvis was the most beautiful man she ever laid eyes on.

I went to the elvis live concert last November which priscilla and Jerry schilling attended. Priscilla spoke about elvis favourite songs and what they meant to him she said he often spoke about his fans and how the wonder of you was dedicated to them for all the love they had shown him.
