i love that jennifer is in her “let me sing the hell out of this song as i’m walking off the stage” era
Her soul does come out here, but is not hollywood influenced in any way. She is a gifted singer from Chicago. She's worked her way up through a hell that no one should ever have to go through. A true gem. Amazing!
Yesssssss Miss Jennifer sang that song in her back round ladies were absolutely holding it down great job, I love when Jennifer sangs old songs ballet's the most l🤗❤️👋
Absolutely! She was my choice for the season winner of American Idol. I’m glad to see she’s gone on to have a successful career.
BACKGROUND singers!
Get it Girl!
The background singers GET IT!!!! Love it!
Saw the song title and wondered why Jennifer was given that old slow paced song. Now I know. Jennifer knew the assignment! With each note she brought the song to life! Yasss!
Because she a powerful singer
Wonderful, she looked great and sounded wonderful. I loved how she was still singing after everyone stopped playing.
Yesssss, you don't own me. I'm free to live my life the way that I want, periodt!!!
Jennifer is not only super talented, but I love the way she dresses for her performances - always manages to look glamourous, classy and sexy at the same time. Love her! And not just because we're both from Chicago.
Love this Lady like mad, this voice is evrything to me…not to mention her humble and kind attitude, she is a human treasure, you are the best, Jenny!
Damn, what a voice!!
She sings everything great. Does anybody know her vocal prime?
Her vocal prime is r&b soul singer
One of the best vocalists ever on this earth. She is always amazing me at how much of a gift her voice is! Wow!
That looks like Ali Caldwell from The Voice and The Four (BW with red hair). Good to see she is still working.
she has a whole talk show
@@tvxfilmtime I was talking about Ali -- one of the background singers -- not Jennifer.
Yup thats her
Right❤❤
Came here to say that! Super talented girl!
In all these years past of America Idol, seemingly, no one has been able to touch the original American Idols.
They should release a pro-shot video of the whole concert....everybody KILLED IT that night!
I would recommend looking up her performances of Where You At circa 2011.
Bravo
Love love Jennifer. Beautiful woman inside and out.
Jennifer Rocks !
❤❤❤
She did good, but still her former backup singer Kyla Jad's version is 🔥
🙏🙏🙏es única,❤️❤️❤️
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎼🎶
Is that Ali Caldwell on background vocals?
She should do a whole set with these bgv doing some of the biggest soul hits.
Surprised me - One/of 4:24 JHud's masterpieces!❤
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Eat your heart out, Lesley Gore.😉 Kidding ... Both ladies did a great job on this 60's Young Woman's Anthem. ❤
There are some classics that should be left alone.
Paul Jackson Jr on guitar 🎸.
Greg Phillinganes on Piano, JR Robinson on Drums, Nathan East on Bass
Don't think this song suited her. Wish she sang You Put a Move on My Heart by Tamia which she's sung before and is also Quincy produced so it would've fit the theme
agreed.
I can tell she was holding back because she was trying to stay in KEY! And she did. A lot of singers can't do that. We didn't get that much power but that doesn't take away the fact that she can't sing.
Stay on key? Are you serious?! Jennifer was following the tempo of the original song by Leslie Gore until she decided to sing it her way. Jennifer’s always on key.
@@TheBakko343 EXACTLY MY POINT. She's a soprano and the orginal key of the song is different for her. You need to chill out because I was not hating on Jhud. Chill yourself down! I know Jennifer is always in key I'm saying we didn't get that much power from her because she's a soprano and the person who sung this song is like a mezzo or contralto. CHILL OUT!
@@whitneyhouston1122well they mentioned TEMPO in response to your KEY reference, so... 🤷🏾♀️ Power is one thing. Jennifer knows how to stay on key baby!
@@laquitafergerson2036 IK SHE KNOWS HOW TO STAY IN KEY I'M NOT SAYING SHE DOESN'T I'M TRYING TO SAY THIS KEY WAS TOO LOW FOR HER SO STFU!
Her pitch is off towards the end. Which is rare for her, she's usually on point
NO DISRESPECT TO JHUD BUT KYLA JADE ALREADY PUT HER STOMP ON THAT ONE, SO SORRY BUT KYLA JADE WAS BETTER❤❣️
Agreed, she set the bar so hire that she’s the only measure in my head. And I love Jhud to but but not on this one ❤❤❤
Dusty's version is still #1
Where's Fantasia when she's sorely needed!
Why does it matter where she was? Why mention her here? She wouldn't have been able to sing this song. She just would've screamed her way through it.
fantasia is dreadful and sings out of tune.
You all can‘t get over the fact that Jennifer is now more successful than Fantasia. You‘re black ( most envious folk) I guess.
no please tasia sounds like a strangled cat when she goes higher
I thought the backup singers sang a bit too loud and aggressively, more drama than was necessary. My opinion. I suppose some people prefer drama: I'm not, and have never been, one of those.
Haha she doesn't know when to stop screaming does she haha
The 13 Year old on America's got talent was superior to you 😂
