After about five years of road cycling, I'm starting to lose interest. Gravel/off-road cycling I think is where I need to move to until I lose interest completely. Looks amazing. Love the video!
🌤️😌⁉️Keep your road bike CHANGE THE TIRES🙂⁉️.......really.!!?...don't believe the hype!!!....you don't need to spend alot of money on the experience.. and on the adventure🐢⁉️....just get out there...🚵♀️🚴♀️🚵♂️
I love the route you took. I rode from Vlissingen up to Den Helder but really like all of the off road paths you took across the country. Awesome to watch!
Lovely day for a ride! Also, usually whenever I’d go camping, I’d bring food (fruits, veg, pre-packaged) that didn’t require cooking. Makes packing easier in some cases and less hassle!
I've lived in Netherlands for a couple of months in 2012 and 13 and I was really shocked that there are so much gravel roads! I must go back there and do some roadtrip! :D
Wow. Just stumbled across you´re channel and I´m absolutely impressed. Love the style of your videos from colourgrading, storytelling and you´re cool Logo and fontstyle of course. Keep it up! Cheers Felix
Fernwee Yes probably I don’t know the trail system here very well I typically am a road rider, first I’d have to get a grave bike, my Cervelo wouldn’t like gravel 😂
Nice video and hoping to see more. But I have to add, if you havent been at the coast or even better at the deltaworks in Zeeland you havent seen the netherlands. Maybe in one of your next vids? Happy riding!
I am living in Rotterdam and cycling very frequently on my partial grovel bike, but never have I seen so many forests and nature as you! Please tell me where you found such roads! Wow! 😍 Beautiful 😍. I am not Dutch and wasn’t planning to live in this country but I cannot imagine not cycling in this stunning country!
Brilliant video 👍 U mentioned in the video that you put in where you were heading to using a MTB, and it gave you the route you followed. Is this an app or cycle route program? What is it, and does it cover Europe and the UK? Happy Cycling 🚴😎
Beware, if you want to use his route. i've just done it with a friend and it does not even seem like it was the one they rode. There is still plainty of places where you just can't ride. Fences, paths that don't exist and quite a lot of boring road portions!
Are you on Strava?
Have you tested Komoot in places that dont have specific maps for the country/state? Its keeping me from getting it at all since there is no package for my country and I'd have to get the whole thingie.
@@Fernwee thanks for the reply. amazing videos and they have got me interested in focus bikes. Hoping to get me one out of the two as my only do it all bike.
Well done guys! Makes me question what I’m doing with my weekends :) The cloudup1 tent you use looks fantastic for the price. Any idea how much it weighs and how small it can pack up?? No info offered on aliexpress sadly. Would appreciate the insight!! Thanks!
I completely understand your feeling of not wanting to get them sick. However, do they have the same feeling? We're told to respect our elders but we seem to not be asking if they're comfortable with seeing us. We make decisions based on our feelings and asking the people we're making decisions about.
Lovely video.Ive got just one question for you that surprised me: why did you choose the MTB option on Komoot instead of the classic Gravel one? thanks and keep on pedalin'! AMS
I used a Pro Discover bar with 30 degrees sweep, great for large handlebar bags, terrible in all other ways. Going to install a 12 degree sweep one, hopefully that'll fit through my stairway at home.
the river beneath ''OverIJSSEL''? i'll take the ijssel for 500, Alex. super nice filmpje!
5:42 I can totally relate! Nothing beats sunshine, friends and bikepacking!
The Netherlands is just gorgeous. What a nice, chill trip! I need to switch over to a gravel bike. Looks like a lot of fun!
After about five years of road cycling, I'm starting to lose interest. Gravel/off-road cycling I think is where I need to move to until I lose interest completely. Looks amazing. Love the video!
It is one of the most stunning videos so far. When I see this, I don’t want a road bike anymore..
Thanks man!
I am real you follower, gravel bike will find many colour.

I love the route you took. I rode from Vlissingen up to Den Helder but really like all of the off road paths you took across the country. Awesome to watch!
Great stuff guys. Nice to see some quality bikepacking content coming from The Netherlands! Thanks for sharing your route.
More to come!

Here's a tip for everyone cooking on a gas stove - bring a flint and steel, it lights the stove even when it gets wet or at any altitude:)
Wouldn't the spark of a lighter work as well
assen.. the nature, the air,the path, the city.. i love it so much... 🥰... regards from 🇮🇩
It was brilliant yes!
Your video is really enjoying in the middle of staying at home in Jakarta😊 I appreciate it 👌
Loved watching your vlog, what a great gravel riding country you live in. Can’t wait to collect my new gravel bike

Glad you enjoy it!
Great video bro, thanks for sharing
The River between Zwolle and Kampen might be the IJssel?! Great Vlog, it´s always a pleasure to watch your videos! Keep on like that...
Nice video of our lovely country!
Great Adventure ... I just know Netherlands is Beautiful :)
Respect and thumbs up for not throwing the match into the nature!
So good! Landscape shots were awesome, thanks for including more in.
Glad you liked it!

Thanks man, glad you came across it!
You just make me want to get a gravel bike and pop across the border from here in Germany for a ride in the Dutch countryside!
I think you’ll be able to ride equally nice routes in Germany as well!
Fernwee Yes probably I don’t know the trail system here very well I typically am a road rider, first I’d have to get a grave bike, my Cervelo wouldn’t like gravel 😂
Haha try the Aspero ;)
Fernwee Maybe in future yes! For now I’m going to look into a cheaper option, only room for one super bike in my home 🤣
I really enjoyed this video, thanks for sharing.
Your land: gravel's paradise. Flipante.
How did you guys plan out your route specifically for gravel?
Nice video guys and the route looks stunning!
Lovely video!
what a peaceful ride
Wow, what a nice landscape!
Oh god, looked how steady you footage! 💯
Hooray for the Gopro Hero 8 ;)
Thanks for the info my man ✨
Nice ride! I Enjoyed all the titanium stuff!
Nice video and hoping to see more. But I have to add, if you havent been at the coast or even better at the deltaworks in Zeeland you havent seen the netherlands. Maybe in one of your next vids? Happy riding!
Check out my very first video from 2 years ago ;)
Very nicely filmed!
Nice trip - the Netherlands really is beautiful
Awesome stuff, tempting me to do something like this rather than my usual holidays road riding in the sun!
Nice, I use the exact same cocking setup!! Bike on!
thank you for the content. made a fan today
I am living in Rotterdam and cycling very frequently on my partial grovel bike, but never have I seen so many forests and nature as you! Please tell me where you found such roads! Wow! 😍 Beautiful 😍. Head east, thats where all the forests are!
Hey its a little late but im very interessted in your helmed. Which one is it from Abus?
Beautiful guys !!! Do you mind sharing the gpx-file of your trip?
There’s a link in the description!
Matches from Aliexpress?
Amazing route guys. 👍
It really is!
So.. How many matches you packed actually? Its a great vlog, the scene, the sound, and the story within
HEY! IT WAS NO EXCUSE!
what tires and rims do you have in your bike ?
Really nice route!!!
What strap you use for your camera? looks very light and safe.
nice film! what camera did you use?
Brilliant video 👍 U mentioned in the video that you put in where you were heading to using a MTB, and it gave you the route you followed. Is this an app or cycle route program? What is it, and does it cover Europe and the UK? Happy Cycling 🚴😎
It's Komoot, check it out its brilliant for routebuilding everywhere!
@@Fernwee just been looking at it. Looks brilliant. Will definitely use it. 👍 Thank you 🤙
Prachtig!
Bro which sunglass you use in this video
No train to Groningen? From Assen every half an hour.
River in Europe ?? Probably the Danube, also this one of your best videos 🤘🤘
Thanks!
Beware, if you want to use his route. i've just done it with a friend and it does not even seem like it was the one they rode. There is still plainty of places where you just can't ride. Fences, paths that don't exist and quite a lot of boring road portions!
What tyres/wheels are you guys running? Thanks
Awesome guys. Please could you share your GPX files?
According to whoop- 21 points can be reached for 24 hours of workout. Nice video btw!
Pfffff, I'll have to go for that sometime then!

Ahoi New fan/ sub... I LOVE IT' - gravel /bike packing 😍😘 - shout out from Philippines!
Shoutout right back at ya!
Have you tested Komoot in places that dont have specific maps for the country/state? Its keeping me from getting it at all since there is no package for my country and I'd have to get the whole thingie.
Ahh no i’ve got the world package so never tried it without that yet...
How good is a mares as a do it all bike, Long hours in the saddle and comparing it to the Paralane?
I think this handles off-road better and the Paralane does on-the-road better. Done very long days in the saddle on both, can’t go wrong either way!
@@Fernwee thanks for the reply. amazing videos and they have got me interested in focus bikes. Hoping to get me one out of the two as my only do it all bike.
✌🏻
What kind of camera strap is that? It doesn't slip in front of you
It's this one: shop.fernwee.cc/collections/favourites/products/copy-of-rille-universal-cycling-camera-strap-stabiliser
red bridge =Hanzeboog bridge going over the "ijssel" river
length: 920 m
Haha awesome, thanks!
That water between Zwolle and Hattem is offcourse de IJsel
"With the rubber through the blubber...?" "Nope, gravel." Groeten vanuut de Veluwe
What is the background song please? It suited the video very well.
I haven't seen my grandparents in ages too. They are all dead. I hope they are doing well.
Well done guys! Makes me question what I’m doing with my weekends :)
The cloudup1 tent you use looks fantastic for the price. Any idea how much it weighs and how small it can pack up?? No info offered on aliexpress sadly. Would appreciate the insight!! Thanks!
Update: found it on amazon with weight and size details. Looks like a great deal!
Agreed!
Where are the hills? I'm jealous of that flat terrain.
And we’re jealous of your hills!
thanks for share the story
You have some cool audio playlists.. those gravel tracks look pretty nice! What are you using to shoot?
All my cameras are listed in the description!

Very nice, I really like the landscape shots and the mellow music.
I hope this hasn't been mentioned anywhere, but what camera do you use?
Used a GoPro hero 8 for this one
@@Fernwee Thank you!
I like this song on video :)
What is the size of titanium cup guys?

Sweet trip! How are those DT Swiss GRC1400 wheels? Any regrets? Is your route available on Komoot?
They're brilliant, no regrets and yep here's the route: www.komoot.com/tour/174163984

Looks like a towel was made from Tommy Hilfiger T shirts :D
Hebben dit opgenomen in the good old days
Mooi man !
easy sub
7:05 that's the Ijssel
Lovely video.Ive got just one question for you that surprised me: why did you choose the MTB option on Komoot instead of the classic Gravel one? thanks and keep on pedalin'! AMS
Cause we wanted our roads to get as gnarly as possible ;)
What handlebars do you guys use?
I used a Pro Discover bar with 30 degrees sweep, great for large handlebar bags, terrible in all other ways. Going to install a 12 degree sweep one, hopefully that'll fit through my stairway at home.
Dude, I like music.
That’s it. I’m buying a gravel bike.
Those helmets are cool. What model?
Abus Airbreakers 👌🏻
Third. Was waiting for that one!
the river beneath ''OverIJSSEL''? i'll take the ijssel for 500, Alex. super nice filmpje!
