This will likely see alot more play post-rotation. right now the metas to varied and diverse to utilize it effectively. post rotation however the only bench snipe available will be dusknoir and gastrodon can easily be used as a bench barrier, as well as ability locking stage 2s. (A 1-1, or a 2-2 evolution line)
Someone over there must hate Chien Pao, this is like another hard counter to it. Klinglang from Stellar Crown was already extremely targeted for it. Overall, I feel Gastrodon will see more play after rotation. When all of the V/VStars leave, Stage 2 decks will likely see a rise in popularity, and Dusknoir will be more popular for its sniping ability for said Stage 2's pre-evolved pokemon.
