The Universal Item Lock - Budew
Item locking cards have been a part of the Pokemon TCG for a long time and have had a huge impact on the game during certian formats. Our current format has seen the rise and fall of Banette EX, able to item lock your opponent and then deal a huge amount of damage based on how many trainer cards are in their hand. However with the release of Terastal Festival, a new item lock Pokemon has entered the game, and it has already completely changed the format. Let's take a look at Budew.

The Tera Slayer - Regigigas
Просмотров 174Месяц назад
It's not uncommon for certain cards to be printed with the only purpose they surve, is to counter another certain type of card. We've seen cards that counter Vmax Pokemon, cards that counter V Pokemon and recently cards that counter EX Pokemon. Prismatic Evolution will be giving us a new and powerful card that is purely designed to counter Tera Pokemon. Able to 1 hit KO any that stand in its pa...
The Last Hurrah - Lost Zone Box

It's not uncommon for a a once popular and powerful deck to fall out of relevancy. This is either due to power creep, are certain cards that are easily able to combat the deck. In this case the cards that killed Lost Box where Kyurem and Dusknoir, two very powerful cards that could easily deal with the decks low HP lineup of Pokemon and with the fact that Lost Box takes time to get its engine g...
The Metal Defender - Archaludon EX
Просмотров 228Месяц назад
With our current meta, it's hard for new cards and decks to compete alongside what is already established. We have had a few work their way up over time or some see a huge spark of play from only a couple of support cards. However, Surging Sparks will be giving us a new deck to play with, while it isn't the strongest deck in the format, it does have the potential to compete against some of the ...
My Thoughts on Pokemon TCG Pocket
Просмотров 356Месяц назад
The long awaited Pokemon TCG Pocket has officially been released. A game that we didnt know much about and fat the time, it looked to be a gatcha pack opening/collecting game with a TCG game mode alongside it. After playing the game for a few weeks I have quite a bit to say about this game. Some good, but mostly negative. Here are my thoughts about Pokemon TCG Pocket. TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@ni...
The Answer To Big Basics - Klawf
Просмотров 6912 месяца назад
Recently the format has been overtaken by big Basic Pokemon. Raging Bolt and Terapagos being the main threats. Capable of dishing out huge amounts of damage very quickly compared to evolution decks which take more time to set up and establish. However one deck has recently made a return because of this, a deck that can easily dispatch any big Basic Pokemon and even some of the formats evolution...

The Stage 2 Ability Lock - Gastrodon
Просмотров 3512 месяца назад
Abilities are a key part to most decks in the Pokemon TCG. Preventing those abilities is also another key part of the game, allowing you to slow down your opponent or completely stop their plan altogether. Recent ability lock Pokemon have seen niche play here and there such as Klefki and Flutter Mane. However a new card coming out in Surging Sparks, could end up being the next stable Pokemon fo...
The First Year of Ace Spec Cards
Просмотров 1,8 тыс.2 месяца назад
Surging Sparks out final set of the year will be giving us the most Ace Specs we have seen yet, a whooping 8. One of which is another Ace Spec returning from the Black and White era. Even with the release of sets such as Shrouded Fable and Stellar Crown, every deck in the format has been using the same Ace Spec cards apart from a few making use of the new Sparkling Crystal. Will this set change...
1 Year of Playing The Pokemon TCG

Back in September of 2023, I made the jump over to the Pokemon Trading Card Game. It has been over 1 year since I started playing and what a year it has been, from starting this RUclips channel, to attending my first ever International Championship, to all the friends I have made from playing this game. Let me take you on a journey through my experience with the Pokemon TCG, what I like and wha...
The Tempting Gust - Meowstic
Просмотров 1822 месяца назад
Gusting is one of the most powerful effects in the Pokemon TC. The ability to bring up any of your opponents Pokemon can be useful in so many instances, allowing you to get easy knockouts, stall the game, play around a stall type Pokemon and more. Gusting effects however are mostly limited to Supporters, some Pokemon have a gusting type ability but they always have a downside or caveat. However...
The Controversy - Dusknoir

Many players have been voicing their opinions about this card ever since it was announced and now released. A card that has made people quit the game, a card that people say should have never been printed. While on the other side you have players saying this like the card, they like that it encourages skillful gameplay. Let's discuss the controversy of Dusknoir. TikTok: www.tiktok.com/@nightsla...
The Item Entangler - Galvantula EX
Просмотров 3083 месяца назад
Item locking Pokemon have been prevalent in the game for many years. Trainers who played during the X&Y era will be able to tell you horror stories about Seismitoad EX as well as Vileplume. Even in our current format we have seen cards such as Banette EX pop up in a couple of decks as a way to shut down items cards. With the release of Stellar Crown, a brand new item lock pokemon will be enteri...
The Best Deck Post Stellar Crown - Dragapult EX Deck Profile (September 2024)

Dragapult has been my go too deck ever since it released in Twilight Masquerade. While over in Japan the deck has been performing extremely well, over in the west it has been the complete opposite. However I still stand by this deck as being one of the best decks in our current format. Especially with the release of Stellar Crown, as this deck recieves even more tools and support to help boost ...

The New King of Dragons - Dragapult EX Deck Profile (June 2024)
I’m devilishly rubbing my hands right now
I think Budweiser will make decks more supporter focused as opposed to item reliant. Not saying it’s a good thing, but when Pokémon makes these types of attacks more accessible it’s ment to cause shifts in the way players deck build. Similar to trashalance garbador
Either you said Budweiser on purpose or that was a very funny autocorrect moment.
@ autocorrect it finished my sentence I guess lol
I’m wondering if Hydreigon can take advantage
YEA everyone can
Would this be realistic with the new blaziken ex?
Regigigas is a interesting card and probably see a decent amount play. Chein-Pao could use it similar to Lugia VSTAR (4 energy for a Zard/Pult KO is far better than trashing 6 and needing to Super Energy Retrieval). Dialga VSTAR is gonna love this. Will it bring it back to at least somewhat meta relevance? Hope so, but I could be wrong.
I see this being usable in glass trumpet decks once Rotation comes around. This plus counter gain is a pretty accessible attack if you can fulfill a 3 energy cost. Being a single prize basic attacker saves on deck space and create uneven prize trades is hard to pass up
Pikachu ex in miraidon is purely to search it out with miraidon's ability and then play area zero yes. it is a way to amp up dmg from raikou v, one of the main attackers
RIP Lost Box. I know it isn’t rotated yet, but this was one of the longest lasting and most adaptable engines ever made. There’s so many variants playable since its legality. I feel like anyone who took time to learn it since lost origin has just been rewarded with consistent tiered play.
Can we get a Hydreigon Video next?
I’m a big fan of dusknoir
Heya, im new to the TCG. Do you think i can bring Basculegion in this deck or do you have another reccomendation?
I feel like it and many other decks (mostly stellar pokemon) need a slower format to work well
I've basically stopped playing at this point. I found myself, logging in, opening my packs, then closing the app. I have never had interest in playing the TCG, let alone a watered down version. I'm purely a collector and this game barely scratches that itch. I feel the game is gonna go similarly to GOs launch. Where there was loads of hype. Then updates were slow, so by the time the content was significant, people had already moved on. It's just very bare bones for someone who is only interested in the collecting aspect. But hey ho that's just me.
YES pokemon tcg is becoming YUGIOH
As a player of many tcg i def play this game with the intention of getting a useable deck to fight with so i just focus on one pack until i have a deck i can play with b4 moving on to another. i feel like every time i see people say they dont have a proper deck to play with that is the main reason why. But i get it not everyone knows the proper strategy for these kinds of stuff. What i do agree on is the crafting cards system tho like that one is truly the worst i have seen in any online tcg b4. Like i am gonna use yugioh as an example but that online tcg allows you to dismantle the cards you get from packs to craft the ones you actually need which is way more better then what pokemon tcg system has imo other then that the game is truly enjoyable for me.
It feels like the current meta leans way too much into chance and coin flips, which I didn't find very fun. Although I guess all of these games of chance is very much in the spirit of a gacha game.
Buddy buddy poffin is perfect for the gardie deck since you can bring out drifloon
It feels like a good gate way into the full TCG because of how simple the battles are at the moment. As someone who has never played the actual TCG this could make me more intertested in it. Hopefully once more cards are added it'll make the battles more interesting with more strategy, rather than it just being who can get their main ex card to the highest amount of energy first and sweep.
Hey I know this is off topic but I've been playing this deck list of future hands and it's been kind of insane I just want to show you the list and try it if you want to 4 iron crown ex 3 iron hands ex 2 miraidon tef 2 iron thorns ex 1 iron bundle par 4 techno radar 4 arven 4 electric generator 4 future booster energy capsule 3 professors research 3 iron 3 boss orders 3 pokegear 3.0 2 heavy baton 1 prime catcher 1 pal pad 1 lost vaccume 1 penny 1 nest ball 1 town store 12 electric energy Honestly I've been going insane because every tournament I play with garde I do terrible but I play this deck on live and went like an hour without losing but I'm worried to play this at a tournament because it's only the 60th best deck on limitless just wandering about your thoughts
I used to play Yu-Gi-Oh too, I got out of it when Snake-eyes came out. At that point I figured I should give pokemon a chance again, since I always switch between the two. But what do you think of the new TCG Pocket??
One thing is for sure, tera/stellar exes won't be able to mega evolve for sure.
Klawf stonks will be through the roof when that new Pikachu drops. Poison means you can actually ohko it
true but pikachu will have essentially zero impact on the meta
@@akaakaakaak5779 x doubt, I think it slides pretty well in something like Miraidon, no?
I'm always happy about these videos, because otherwise I wouldn't know any of the new cards.
I switched to Pokemon TCG as well. That is true about Yu-Gi-Oh Prizing is terrible. And new released staples to play the game are REALLY expensive. You have to wait a year for staple reprints but by then the format has changed again. It’s impossible to be a top competitive player without spending thousands of dollars.
I've been playing Pokemon TCGO to TCGL since 2012. I love the game so much I want the magiorty of my channel playing the game. Thanks for playing if you want to catch one of my streams and play the TCGL I would like to play with you. That would be assume. My account is TECAMAYA
Very few people complain, most people just quit the game quietly
This card, and all the stuff that just nukes your bench before you even get to play is pretty toxic to be honest. Just stops you wanting to play the game at all.
3:45 she neither looks like nor sounds like a "she" ... Keep this abomination away from children.
Megaton Blower in Blocklax could be a scary prospect
using energy search pro for ceruledge ex then playing professors research to get them into the discards and then being able to attack for massive damage could be a new strat
They should reprint an updated Jirachi card with the ability “Damage Counters can’t be places on your benched Pokémon from your opponent’s attacks and abilities.”
Your story is borderline the same as mine and that's mega scary haha.
