wow, to play so well through an earthquake, just amazing....................................................and the pipes stayed in place!!!!!...................................................
Did you use this? I walked down the aisle to this 18 years ago. The church organist was annoyed I wouldn’t just use trumpet voluntaire or bridal suite.
I walked down the aisle in 1986 to this splendid tune (played with a little less finesse) in St Anne's, Alderney, Channel Islands. (I'm a New Zealander) Still love it!
Absolutamente grandioso. La mejor versión del preludio del Te Deum a órgano que he localizado en la red. Mis felicitaciones al magnifico organista. Y me he tenido que ir Auckland, a las antipodas para encontrala. Bravo, desde España. Absolutely great. The best version of the prelude of the Te Deum to an organ that I have located in the network. My congratulations to the magnificent organist. And I had to go Auckland, to the antipodes to find it. Bravo, from Spain
Siiii coincido totalmente! Es la mejor versión para órgano lejos. Es incluso mejor que la interpretación por parte de la organista "Diane Bish" sin desmerecerla obviamente pero esta versión es superior.
Very nice interpretation of Te Deum, George, not too fast as is the common sin with many organists who play it. You just feel the majestic soul of Te Deum! Besides, the registration you have chosen brings out the best here. God bless you!
@@NicholasLimRF I'm aware ... so? Still if there ever was an anthem for the EU, this should be it. Eurovision is a broadcast alliance which is different.
@@Vylkeer There is one and they went with 'Ode to Joy' from Symphony No. 9. I would have preferred this too but I have no say in that. I did have a big say in what was used for my wedding though and included it.
The organ of the Auckland Town Hall was recently overhauled and renewed by Klais at a cost to the ratepayers of $NZ3 million. The 1911 facade was retained, but the organ is now a Klais instrument. It is a vastly superior organ to what was done in 1970 when it was effectively castrated and many pipes "lost".
That seems to a trademark in the Mother Country and the "white" dominions, where the organ was an unquestioned part of the service of the C of E. Now, these are largely locked off, and basically are being allowed to go to dust and seed by neglict and not being played and given a good hard workout now and then. Sad, think of the money spent, and the younger organists who would be thrilled to even get to play once, on such an instrument.
Recitals once a week on Sunday afternoons during summer as well as special concerts from visiting virtuosos and practice sessions by organ scholars - in other words, regularly.
16' Diapasons. Did you think at all before you shot your mouth off. Look at the scale of the pipes compared to the organist. Look at the height of the pipes compared to the interior of the building. That are 21' Open Diapasons, you idiot.
why on Earth would someone "record" this lame sounding piece of music and show these humongous pipes, while not even hearing a 16 foot pedal at the end, let alone a 32?

HAHAHAHAHA!
Pv
This is the best version i ever listen of this piece! Perfect interpretation
This was our wedding processional hymn on February 8 2020..loved it .
Bravo! Love the trumpet.
That Organ again, my god it is majestic , Well played, very well...
And on the ninth day, God created tripods.
that comment is hilarious!!!!!
Amazing
😂
Haha 😂
Or as Billy Wilder allegedly put it: "Keep wobbling that camera. I want to win the foreign film award."
This will be my bridal entrance music..love how it is played

@@zombiemom6701 that seems a little silly, being an organist myself you can’t really have an opinion on what people request

This can be played when they carry my casket out of the church! What beautiful music!
Samuel Christensen I would have thought that the organist would be grateful it’s not yet another rendition of Wagner and Mendelssohn ;)
This part at 1:23 was absolutely brilliant. Playing the bass with this energy was definitely the right spirit, wonderful interpretation

Excellent. Power of Heaven on Earth.
Una autentica delicia. Oír este maravilloso Órgano.
Wonderful!
L'orgue est superbe et majestueux . Dommage que la main qui filme ait la tremblotte !
Love this. Well played
those pipes are beasts
My goodness aren't those pipes huge!!
No duh
Hard to believe they're from 1911.
What are the name of those stops?
I bet they are for the pedal but is it like a big subbas?
Looks like they are from the Pedal Double Open Metal 32'
Yep! Pedal Double Open Metal 32'
Ale piękne organy

👏👏👏👏👏👏 BRAVO!!!
Emocionante. Chorei de alegria.
Ici les votes du jury Royaume-Uni..... Charpentier douze points 💕
Now THAT'S an organ, mate!
Perfect tempo!
I feel like that isn't a good thing. It's kind of sterile. Not my tea.
I haven't heard this arranged for organ before, just orchestral arrangements. Always thought this would make a good wedding processional.
I walked down the aisle to this……36 years ago today 😍Needless to say the organist wasn’t quite as accomplished!!
The huge pipes make the musician look like a tiny fairy. 😂 Glorious sound.
Most male organists I know *are* 😝
those pipes are huge, you should stand next to it for a size reference
Imagine the planning that went into that organ: Shipping all that around the world. You could not forget anything!
Very good performance but please keep the camera still
Браво!!!
I can't help but wonder from where in Europe this organ was built, then shipped to New Zealand, and rebuilt for the final time.
Klais Orgelbau, Germany.
This should be the anthem of Europe. 🇪🇺
Amazingly executed!
It is the Eurovision anthem, just saying.

Are Those 32' Pipes? Do They Speak Or ARe They Part Of The Façade Pipe Work?
64' i think. Is not usual.
Great
Did anyone else notice that the 32' pipes were on display on the left and right of the console
Really? Could you post the time(s).
Some of them, anyway.

That's right! They have been there all day every day since 1911!
Figures! They have a masterpiece of a pipe organ in a town hall, and my parish has to get by on a crudball organ!

If a venue has a pipe organ and hosts the Eurovision Song Contest they will play Te Deum prelude
Some of us are thinking Radio City Music Hall. Just for 2023.

Musik sehr schön, Kamera katastrophal.
Powerful 8 foot trumpet or tromba reed stop
Eurovision song
Tema la taille des tuyaux
Massive 32’s
How can I get the sheet music? Thanks!
Google?
Get a gimbal for your phone or camera. Your work is far too shaky and fast.
Camera work made me nauseous. Had to stop watching.

Buy REAL stereo system to listen to a beast like this you goofball!
