As of 1/20/2023.... I just watched an AB live video a couple of days ago. He hadn't done that in a while. He seemed conflicted on what he wanted to do; sign to a streaming service or just do "Him".
Anyway.... Good Eats has been the most influential show ever. Personally.... I really want to see more of Alton.
I think what they failed to mention overtly as with others who are successful is WORK ETHIC. I think the "IT" for Alton Brown was that his work ethic was/is a work of art caught on film. And lets not forget the Peabody Award.
I loved watching his shows.
I grew up with altons shows and he will forever, at least to me, be the epitome of the food network food show.
Some of his best stuff was the "Feasting on" adventure series. Also, What's the stir?
click bait
Or when he combines ingredients...

Best show about food preparation 👍🏼👍🏼
I love Good Eats, and I have learned a lot from it. I also loved him on Next Food Network Star because he brought in the fun. quirky and wacky people that make the shows I like to watch. The Other Hosts tended to bring in less interesting people. I love that he brings humor into the shows, because a lot of them are rather dull in comparison.
In the beginning he was a great educator and entertainer. This all changed to arrogance as the years went by. I keep the remote close when he pops up.
My favorite episode was where he just talked about the chicken egg. I learned so much.
I always enjoyed Good Eats. My son was young at the time and lovingly nicknamed him “the crazy guy”. He enjoyed the show too. I miss the old days of Food Network when they had chefs in the cooking showing how to prepare dishes. I hate the channel the way it is now.
When The Food Network first came on air, I watched as many cooking shows as possible, including Good Eats. Don’t really care for these competition shows today, Ramsey comes to mind. I enjoy cooking instruction shows much better.
Good eats is the best show the food network ever produced.
I grew up watching food network and good eats was my favorite.
QQ is so much fun to watch
