Exactly! Traveling solo doesn't mean you have to be alone all the time. It actually provides ample opportunity to meet people. And a great way to do so is by staying with locals.
Yes, it is, DQ Family Travel. I understand that it may not be for everyone, but the Couchsurfing community is very diverse. Some of the hosts can be families who are eager to meet/host other families. 🙂
I agree that this may not be for everyone. Personally, I like connecting with the locals when I travel. It makes my trip more meaningful as I get to see beyond the typical tourist attractions.
Lucky you! I wish I had more friends living abroad 😄. Anyway, staying with strangers is fun in its own way as you get to make new friends. I hope you'll give it a try too someday.
Hahaha nak ikut u travel la lepas nie... Tp kalau i ikut u, dah x jadi solo traveler... jadi duo hahahah... Anyway... thanks untuk info ini... But itu la.. i sendiri rasa segan nak tinggal rumah orang for Free.. mesti i akan hulur duit sikit even i tidur rumah kawan i sendiri.
Hahaha, tu la, nanti jadi duo la pulak kan.
Hi pandu budi. Unfortunately, I'm staying in a small space, and for personal reasons, I would prefer hosting female guests only. But I'd be happy to meet up and show you around if I'm free. 😁

Yes, you can. I've always wanted to try Workaway and WWOOF, but I don't usually stay at one place long enough to do that. 😕
Heard about it but never tried it.im a solo traveler yet all my host had been people i already knew from the country I choose to visit

I hope the Sydney experience was not awkward
It wasn't, Pat Ce. My experience with Australian hosts was actually very 'enlightening' and memorable (in a good way). 😁
