  • Hey guys! Welcome back to my channel! This video will give you a peek into how we make homeschooling work with me working full-time outside the home!
New here? Introduce yourself in the comments!
    I’ll go first:
I’m Christina, a first-year homeschooling mom of 5 kids (ages 1, 2, 5, 9, & 13). I am also a full-time teacher, and just went back to teaching in person after about a year of teaching virtually. I’ll continue to share our homeschooling journey, and I’m excited to connect with you! I hope you feel encouraged here 🤍

STRUCTURE, STRUCTURE, STRUCTURE! I am a single mommy, whose working, home schooling, and a college student. It’s not easy, but after a few months you will find your rhythm and teaching style. It was extremely hard at first and overwhelming. I keep pushing and now, it’s getting better. I keep it interesting and switch things up to keep them motivated. I do a mixture of hands on and visual learning, to keep them engaged. My son just got his test results back after this year of being homeschooled and the school district compared it to public school results, and his results came back today and he scored REALLY WELL! The results were better than what he did in public school. I’m super proud!! I wanted to cry. I love the concept of homeschool, bc you can teach them things that aren’t taught in public school. My 10 year old is learning anatomy, computer coding, and starting algebra, to name a few. He loves it and tells me he can focus on his studies, it was actually his idea to be homeschooled 😅. Any parents considering it, I encourage it. It helps you learn about your child too at the same time. I learned a lot about their interests. I actually enjoy teaching now, never in a million years would I think I’ll be a homeschool teacher 😅💛

How do you do this? I seem to fight with my 13 yr old son because he refuses to do anything. I work over 40 hours plus homeschool. I have tried the structure thing but to no avail...yet. Where do you do the testing? Help?

Thank you so much for sharing how you make it work, as a full-time HomeSchool Mom and a full-time Teacher. The content you share on your channel is invaluable! Seriously. Juggling it all can be super challenging. However, this video has helped me realize that I need a plan but it's okay to take it week to week and see what works for us. Thanks again!

I really admire your tenacity: it indicates how dedicated you are to homeschool your kids. But I can also see how most people would not be able or willing to do similar- no wonder so many are curious to see how you manage both! Because it seems intense 😅. You really are very dedicated

My kids are responsible for there own books. I text them wat they need to do. My daughter does more tho. She knos that she needs to do well at school but I don’t require her to do too much in a day tho but we do science more often than I’m hearing most homeschool families do knowing that my daughter will need it and idk wat the rest of my kids are going to do in the future so it’s not hurting them to learn more. We don’t do language Arts wen we do gather round. Where we live most ppl don’t know another language so I want my kids to learn another language but it’s up to them wat they choose. I love that we can be flexible. As my daughter wants to do the course I’m doing and it’s an awesome Option for her future I kno that she can take longer if needed or start at the end of high school if she’s ready so we can still be flexible even tho shes gonna be a surgeon. My kids are older and we use their iPads for them to see there work off a pdf and if they want it printed they can.
