Giles Martin tells the story of the collaboration between his father, George Martin, and Paul in making Eleanor Rigby, and takes us right into the studio to hear them recording it. - Видеоклипы
It must be bittersweet for Giles to hear his dad’s voice on these tapes. Maybe it’s like he’s not really gone but you know he is.
Hello, how are you doing it’s nice meeting you here.
Dear Apple 🍏 Corps social media team - Please post the entire, uncut Giles Martin presentation. I'm sorry, these small clips are fascinating, but they're also short attention span theater. I'd like to hear EVERYTHING Giles has to say about the project and the individual songs. Thanks so much.
Agreed. Would love to see more of this!
+ i want to hear the acoustic version of eleanor rigby but alas it wasn't recorded :/
@@JonVoid37 I have to laugh and cringe when Paul does an acoustic version of the song during "Anthology" (the video) and he sings it like a Vegas lounge lizard.😆 A bit uncomfortable there, are we Paulie?

Giles martin is a legend himself, but imagine the stories his father told him! Working with the beatles must have been amazing! ❤
George and Giles about every Beatles song: "Very simple song". 😁
Wonderful, hearing them working on a track is just as good as hearing the track.
I love listening to them talking in the studio Thank you Giles
Giles, your father would be proud of your remixing the songs of the Beatles catalogue up to 21st century standards. Keep hearing things I missed on mono records or 4-track, so much so that it is (almost) like hearing them for the first time. Thanks - you (and the team) really have performed a huge service to humanity.
The diction is so clear and the lyrics so beautiful that I learned to love the English language, which is not my native language, because of this song.
We need more of these type of videos explaining how the Beatles music was compiled. It is fantastic viewing, adds even more pleasure to already abundant pleasure we get from listening to the Beatles music. This music will live forever as each generation discovers it.
♥️Beautiful collaboration with the string section! Thanks for sharing this bit of musical history.
Hello, how are you doing it’s nice meeting you here.
✨🎼talented geniuses ✨❤️💕❤️💕❤️🎸🎤
Splendid work from the 5th Beatle´s son. Thank you, Giles.
Eleanor Rigby defied all the norms of rock music. The lyrics, the music and the message were - and are - captivating and profoundly timeless.
Hello, how are you doing it’s nice meeting you here.
As much as Paul and John like denying it, George Martin WAS the fifth Beatle.
Paul never denied George Martin’s importance since he was the one who enjoyed working with him the most and continued to do so in his solo career
@@ewest14 That may be true, but I clearly remember Paul in an interview rejecting the idea that Martin was the fifth Beatle. Martin's solo on In My Life was more than fleshing out a song.
Paul said in 2016 - “If anyone earned the title of the fifth Beatle it was George.”
@@larryfloyd5111 He likely said that before 2016 because so many pushed the idea of a "fifth Beatle" for many of the band's collaborators that it was getting silly, and I would suspect that George Martin might have been embarrassed by such a suggestion.
i love how much work and ideas this group produce in our minds and the satisfaction thats ones produces
OMG I will never hear Elenor Rigby the same way again. I would have never in a million years guessed that they were mimicking the Psycho theme in this song. 🤯
and that makes me wonder exactly HOW she died in the church and then buried alone when there were no mourners. The only witness to her murder, I mean demise, was a priest who wiped dirt off his hands as he walked away. Tis more than just a very sad song. I'm mostly joking of course, but if I'm on target, then Paul has a great imagination.
*Eleanor
Don't forget what Geoff Emerick's close micing technique (that flouted EMI standards) added to the sound.
The Beatles' best song imo
Truly one of the the beautiful string song and just song of all time❤❤ truly a masterpiece by the fab 4❤❤❤LOVE U BEATLES❤❤❤

Won't happen. It was considered for the Anthology but was dropped because it's just a load of noise.

Today's music sucks compared to the good ones in the past. There's no comparison.

George Martin era el quinto Beatle
Its a bit crazy to hear that recording with them speaking and collaborating especially as a huge Beatles fan since its in a quality that sounds like it could have been recorded yesterday and not in the 60´s.
i want to hear the acoustic version of eleanor rigby but alas it wasn't recorded :/
Why are all these cut up into weird clips? It would be less jarring if they were all one video.
😂 i mean do ya want a paycheck or dontcha!? 😅
I would think there would be a boatload of information if he ever wants to start a channel.

Sorry, but Giles is wrong here. Bernard Hermann was the inspiration for the string arrangement, but it was his score for Fahrenheit 451 which was released in early 1966, not Psycho. George has said so in many interviews. It's possible that on some later occasion, George misspoke and said it was Psycho, but Fahrenheit 451 is the one. And one only needs to compare the scores with Eleanor Rigby. This is one thing I dislike about Giles Martin. A talented man in the studio, he may be but his grasp on Beatles history is often not even on par with the most ardent fan and when he states things like this, he proliferates errors.
Give references to George Martin's statements about his inspiration for "Eleanor Rigby."
We know this stuff, Giles. Your Dad talked at length about it in many many interviews. Stop trying to make it as though you're revealing stuff that no-one ever said. The book Revolution in the Head said it all. Nearly 30 years ago. Jeez dude leave the legacy alone. Stop remastering and remixing it.
yeah, he can't tell who's singing the "ahs" on A Day in the Life and he thinks John Lennon played bass on While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Sorry but not impressed.
