Cognizant நிறுவனம் - தகவல் தொழில்நுட்பத் துறையில் இந்தியாவின் முன்னணி நிறுவனமாகவும், டி.சி.எஸ் நிறுவனத்துக்கு அடுத்த நிலையில் உள்ள மிகப் பெரிய ஐ.டி நிறுவனமாகவும் விளங்குகிறது. பெங்களூரில் பிறந்து வளர்ந்த லட்சுமி நாராயணன், முதலில் டி.சி.எஸ் நிறுவனத்தில் பல ஆண்டுகள் பணியாற்றினார். 90-களில் அமெரிக்காவின் டன் அண்ட் பிராட்சிட் நிறுவனம், காக்னிசன்ட் நிறுவனத்தைத் தொடங்க நினைத்தபோது, அந்த நிறுவனம் சென்னையில் தொடங்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்று வலியுறுத்தியவர் லட்சுமி நாராயணன். சென்னையில் அந்த நிறுவனம் தொடங்கப்பட்டபோது, அதனைத் தலைமையேற்று நடத்தவும் செய்தவர். மிகச் சிறிய நிறுவனமாகத் தொடங்கப்பட்ட காக்னிசன்ட் நிறுவனம் இன்றைக்கு மிகப் பெரிய நிறுவனமாக வளர்ந்தது எப்படி, இனி ஐ.டி துறைக்கு உள்ள எதிர்காலம் என்ன, இளைஞர்கள் பிசினஸில் ஈடுபடுவதற்கு என்ன செய்ய வேண்டும், ஸ்டார்ட் அப் நிறுவனங்களில் தொடர்ந்து முதலீடு செய்வது ஏன் என்பது போன்ற கேள்விகளுக்கு காக்னிசன்ட் நிறுவனத்தின் இணை நிறுவனரான என்.லட்சுமி நாராயணன் விரிவாக இந்த வீடியோவில் பதில் அளித்திருக்கிறார்.
Cognizant is the second biggest IT company in India after TCS. Mr.N.Lakshmi Narayanan, who was born and hails from Bangalore took the leader role to start the Cognizant. அது ஒரு வசந்த காலம்! Mr. LN is a gentleman, no vetti bandhaa, he uses only simple words when he speaks and he makes sure others get it correctly. When he had his office at the last floor of SDB2, TCO, Thuraipakkam, Chennai, he used to take a common lift to go his office along with all little developers, and he used to wish and smile at everyone in the elevator as he believed that they are the potential sources of the company's growth. Cognizant misses you Lakshmi sir!

He is a real visionary and groomed a great leadership team for Cognizant. I was lucky to get into cognizant back in 1998 and had opportunity to work with Lakshmi and other great Cognizant leaders. Lakshmi's biggest achievement is transforming Chennai as alternate IT hub to Bangalore that many people doesnt know. Good to hear from him after long time..

Amazing and great inspiration for me and so for thousands of employees in early 2000's. Blessed that I worked under his leadership and had an opportunity to interact with him while in the elevator. He was CEO, carried his bag, waiting for others to let in to the lift, and interacting with some us there in the short duration as well. That day, he just showed us through his behaviors, how a true leader should act.
