    If your d20 is your general, then the game ends in one roll unless you pay for reroll, or roll equal numbers, which makes the “combat” of the other dice useless. Or am I missing something?

      I think you take it in turns to choose who to line up with who

      @@thegameguys9390 Still, most rolls would yield d20s of different value, therefore there is no point for the player who rolled the higher d20 to not immediately attack the general.
      Moreover, a d20 might possibly roll lower than more than 1 dice of the opponent's rolls, therefore the game ends in 1 turn, even if the player with the lower d20 was able to 'sacrifice' a die against one of their opponent's higher rolls. Still, the opponent has another die to win.

    Why do you roll the other dice if only the General (the d20) determines who wins?
