Omg your items are beautiful! I'm working on this blanket now, but I bought 3 different colors instead of a gradually changing yarn....I appreciate seeing your row colors and I hope to replicate it by changing yarn colors. I'm going to need to rip mine out and add the row of SC because I think it looks lovely and sits flatter and nicer. Thank you! And I love listening to your accent ❤ Hi from Washington state!
Hello. Thank you for your kind words. Happy crocheting to you 🙂
that so cure nice colors ty
looks beautiful! nice demonstration too! I'm going to try this next; thanks! 👍👍
Such a pleasure watching this video
Thank you 😊
Beautiful blanket, thank you.
I just found you and love this video you made it so easy when others made it seem so complicated and I really love the single crochet row in the beginning. And I love your personality the way you explain things thank you.
You are welcome. Happy crocheting to you 👍🧶
Thank you for zooming in so it's easy to see the stitches you're doing!!
Love watching and listening to you.
Thanks kindly Judy. Happy crocheting to you 😉
This is my go to blanket for easy and mindless. I love it! Thanks 😘
You are welcome. Happy crocheting to you 👍♥️

I have heard this type of V-Stitch called the .Modern V-Stitch, and I love it. It just looks so neat.. I have been using it in some of my preemie/Angel blankets...using a #3 yarn, snd an F Hook. They really look nice...
Thanks for a very fun tutorial... I do color control most of the time, too...
Oh yes.. I subbed..
Glad you liked this blanket. Please stick around and check out our other tutorials. Also thank you for subscribing.
Happy Crocheting to you :D
Great pattern , Thank you. I use the Mandala cakes for the gradual color changes. A border is a good idea, even if only plain single crochet, because the edges get the most wear and that will reinforce the edge.
Thanks. I did do a border, that similar to my c2c border here on you tube. Sadly I didn't record it due to the lovely lady's baby being born so needed to speed it up. However I'll do another V-stitch blanket in another colour then do a border here on you tube.
Thanks so much for watching. 😊
Did you put 3 single crochet in the corners? They blanket is beautiful! I’m like you as I can’t stand for the color changes to be anywhere but the end of the rows!
Looks great and quick to do. How many cakes did you use and what was the finished size please.
Beautiful done and very pretty.
Thank you Leslie. Happy crocheting to you 😊
Love 🤗🧶
Another great tutorial
Thank you
Thank you kindly. 😁🧶
I can’t wait to get this started!! And I even got the same color 😉
And don’t you think, sometimes the easiest and the classic stitches are the most BEAUTIFUL!! Thank you!! ♥️💐
That's great you found the same yarn 😁
Wow! Crochet OMG! Have you seen the new colors?!?!? 😱 RHUBARB CREAM is to die for! ♥️
No. We probably won't get the new colours here in Australia for a while yet.
Wow! Crochet Some phenomenal new colors all across the Caron Cake line!!
@@cindycover3675 can't wait until we get them here in Oz 😁😁
Beautiful stitch and beautiful blanket. I do not especially care if the color ends in the middle of the row but I have seen some awesome blankets that are color controlled. My question is: how do you know if you have enough yarn to finish a row? If I got 3/4 of a row done I would not frog it out because I am a slow crocheter. How do I judge having enough yarn to finish a double crochet row?
I couldn't tell when you started the sc row... did you do the ch 1 then sc in the second chain from the hook? Or did you just sc in that first stitch, without the chain 1?
Please show how you do the edge of your blanket. 😃

I absolutely love this blanket. It is beautiful. Do you have a pattern for the matching baby jacket and hat? I would love to gift a set to a baby cousin we're welcoming in November.
Thank you so much for your request. We are currently in the process of writing up all patterns and uploading them on ravelry. They are yet to be uploaded and will be in a approximately 2 weeks. I will post the link here when it has been uploaded 😊
This will be a free pattern 😊
Wow! Crochet That’s great. I can’t wait!! 😍
To me it looks beautiful the way it turns color. It’s beautiful. Did you single crochet in the second chain or the first chain from hook when you started ?
It looked like I put it in the 2nd but it was the 1st. Because I split the yarn
Thanks I remember making a scarf with this stitch it works up fast
The same. Here is my scarf tutorial 👍

So Nice!
Thank you. Enjoy making it :)
It looks so beautiful. Sent the video to ky son as he wants a blanket. He loved the stitch. I have a question, though...did you do the first single stitch in your third chain stitch? Thank you for sharing this lovely blanket. 🙌😘💖🙌
Yes 👍
I like this set and the yarn use chose. Do you have bigger sizes for bigger kids?
No sorry. It was a one off. However I won't rule it out in the future. 😁👍🧶
Beautifully done!!
Tracy Dee thank you for watching
Happy crocheting to you 😉
I am a little confused when you finish a row. If you are doing a double crochet why are you only chaining 2 I thought with double crochet you chain 3 when you turn your work?
It's preference here. But I found the chain 3 left a space and since the double v-stitch has less of a gap I wanted the sides to remain gap free. If I was doing the basic v-stitch (which has a chain between the double crochets) then I'd add the 3rd chain. But again it's preference
l did v crocheting blankets it came out nice
Well done 😉
Thi will be my next project
Great. Happy crocheting to you 😁👍🧶
Great tutorial! New subbie ❤️
Welcome and thanks for subbing!

Happy Crocheting to you :D
I can't figure out what to do at the row where we chain 3 and turn. It's near the beginning of the video where you had to take out a few stitches and said something about a 3rd one. 🙂
So lovely. How many cakes did you use for your blanket?
Thank you I used between 3 and 4 skeins. :)
Going to make a king size blanket how many chains
Thanks for sharing..New subscriber..
Do you have a tutorial to make the border for this blanket
Yes. See this playlist
ruclips.net/p/PLs5CYcwncLH3CTc_MPAdWTx3gAGNhDKde
Hi Mary. I see that you are doing 102 chains here which is for a crib size blanket is that correct or are we making a larger one (I'm not sure when I'll do this one)? I finished the Square Blanket and I'm thinking of adding more Blocks. Finishing the Cavat right now.🌼🌻💚
Fantastic. I will talk about the double crochet v-stitch in a couple of days time on vlog 12. A few things I need to discuss about the blanket.
In reference to the square blanket go ahead and add more squares I just made the blanket to suit me. I will also discuss that on vlog 12. 😉🧶
@@WowCrochet ok Cool
👍😏🧶
Oops Kim. Sorry forgot to discuss the blanket in the vlog... week. Can you wait another week? 😩
@@WowCrochet No Worries, I can wait as long as you need. Never a Worry for me.
Yes, I'm fussy too so I cut off at the change if necessary 😉
It's our prerogative to be fussy I like my work to be neat 😉😉🧶
I would of frogged it out and chain 2 instead of the 3 which you did at 1st . It’s ok to be fussy.
Hi Mary. I see that you started with 102 chains; how many Caron Cakes did you use including the extra one to pull from if needed to finish a Color Row and what is the Colorway? Thank you🌼🌻🌹🌸🌷
She said she used 3, with the 4th one to pull extra from!
Did you make a tutorial showing a border?
I am currently in the middle of this border as we speak. The tutorial will be up in a couple of weeks. Thank you so much for stopping by 😊
Thank you for posting the border videos. I am working on the Afghan now and can’t wait to add the border.
@@barbaranesmith1890 all good. There's not enough time in the day to post all the tutorials I want. 🤣
Happy crocheting to you 👍😘🧶
What size yarn is this ???
This is a 10ply/Aran weight or number 4 weight
Lindos
Just found this, is there a printable pattern
Thank you for watching. Some of my patterns are printable and will be available on my new website which will be up and running in a few weeks. I will keep you informed. :D
no 'written' pattern?
Which colorway is this? It does not appear to be Red Velvet, but is it?
Yes it is a red velvet but I did cut and change the colours to suit me. Hopefully that hasn't confused you too much, if you go further into the tutorial I show you where I changed some of the colours
😊
I really like her blanket but the directions are confusing. I will need to look at a different video😭
what number yarn you did from caron cake.
Lucy I used a number 4 yarn.
😊
Thank you! Pretty stitch, was to hard to watch cause the camera was to close
Thank you so much for your input. Will keep that in mind when making my next tutorial 😉
Why get so hung up about the colour change? No such thing as crochet police! It’s a blanket for heavens sake, it’s not going in the Louvre. Someone is going to throw it away sooner or later or it’s going to fall to bits. Have you seen the star rating for this yarn?
Confused
Hello Leslie. What is it that you are confused about?
@@WowCrochet just the beginning then I got it, no worries
