oh how wonderful to hear that brother. that you have been freed from that abominable sin. that one is so difficult and a grievous lie of the evil one and Jesus gave you Victory over it. May the Joy of Heaven fill your heart daily and God's pure Love be always surrounding you and filling your life with His Happiness. I have a friend who is in that situation. I pray that he will be freed. He still thinks he is ok and will be saved as he is. Oh how I hope that he will be saved from that all encompassing lie. @Ann Campbell Hmmm... it seems like you are of the conviction to stay stuck in time! You begrudge Ellen White to have developed in wisdom through the Holy Spirit. Moreover, you put the pioneers on the same level of authority with her as a prophetess. THAT has NEVER been the case in the whole of Scriptures! Prophets & Prophetesses only answers to the Holy Spirit, NOT to any body of of men, not the Sanhedrin, the GC or church board, ONLY when Jesus told Ellen to move to Australia, she went. You do know that the same Ellen wrote, I am paraphrasing=>: "those who do not move forward slide backwards", just like the Israelites did. Jesus called them "backsliding ppl". However, THIS is what He told them to do at the VERY beginning of their journey under His guidance=> (Exo 14:15) And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:
Since that pertained to Moses as well, so that IS exactly what Ellen White did=> moved forward! Too many time I see SDA of similar conviction as yours, liken the pioneers to the body of the 70 elders as described in the Torah. From which Judaism has formed their mythology of the power of the sages/rabbinical after the Babylonian captivity, with their Kabbalah based 66 books of the Talmud. Shame on you to call the literal objects within the tabernacle and the 2 temples, which stand as symbols for Jesus' journey on earth and in heaven for the sake of our salvation, defiled! By pitting F.C. Gilbert's traditional Jewish understanding of the sanctuary teaching against what Jesus has revealed in the Tenakh, the NT and the SOP. I am sure that was NEVER the intention of Gilbert! Incidentally, referring to the notion in Dan. 8 abt two clean animals which were traditionally sacrificed during the Pesach, the ram and the he-goat during the Yom Kippur in the tabernacle/temples on earth, in what you call an "unclean", historic/political situation; remember this; the serpent in the garden of Eden now has a bad reputation because of her willingness to be abused by Satan, whilst in the desert, the same symbol in a brass form on a cross was unto salvation, The same goes for the Lion of Judah meaning Christ in His earthly weapon shield, while satan is also called a lion as a roaring lion aiming to devour the whole human race. I.E. symbols have different meanings and even opposite meanings, depending on the context. Btw proof text reading is equal to flat text reading without the cultural, historic and linguistic contextual understanding. THAT level of reading and understanding is the early stage of understanding the Gospel of Christ, Who Himself has proclaimed that His news has endless widths & depths etc. aka multidimensional. So simply and clearly, and accurately set forth, even a teen can follow it. It bears listening to several times to fully take in all the points so as to be able to share with others. It is vitally important that everyone, especially SDAs, should understand this subject.

HEBREWS AND THE REST OF FAITH
The book of Hebrews in chapters 3 and 4 is not talking about resting on a day of the week or even commanding to keep the sabbath day. The context of the book is convincing Jews not to backslide away from Christ or apostatize. That there is eternal rest (heaven to gain) in Christ if they keep the faith and don't turn back to perdition, like returning to Judaism that won't be able to save them because only Jesus can. Therefore, keeping the sabbath day today is returning to Judaism, living under the Old COVENANT, staring down the New and stepping on the grace of Christ.

The Gospel is Simple and by preaching the Sanctuary compromises the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The IJ as described in Fundamental belief teach that your sins are transferred even though forgiven .EG white in Great controversy states that you must not think that your sins are cancelled.
Open your eyes and start thinking . Your sins are forgiven and removed to the depth of the sea never to be remembered anymore.
So the IJ that you cannot know if you saved as your name can come up in heaven anytime so you can't even say to anyone that you saved .. So where is the power of Jesus to save and what was the purpose of the cross anyway.
Salvation is a gift and a gift belong to you until you die. The giver Jesus will never take it away from a believing Christian .

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
The Ten Commandments are referred to as "the ministration of DEATH ENGRAVED IN STONES (2 Corinthians 3:7)." They proved men to be sinners, away from God, and under divine judgment. Jesus kept them perfectly, but men can't. The SDA would like to think they do.

Therefore, lifting up the sabbath day is like living under the Old COVENANT and staring down the New, and stepping on the grace of Christ. Adding to this significabce, a commandment to observe or remember the sabbath day is EXCLUDED from the commandments that Christ gave believers to obey. For example, Jesus commanded to REMEMBER LOT'S WIFE, not remember the sabbath day.
We obey Christ and persevere to live a holy life in conformity to moral law, but it is his merits, grace and intercession that saves us. We mortify the deeds of the flesh through the Spirit (Romans 8:13). Our sins were imputed to him on the cross, and his righteousness is imputed to the true believer by faith. We "are complete in him (Colossians 2:10)."

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE SABBATH
The Sabbath Day begins at sundown on Friday and ends at sundown on Saturday. Therefore, the Lord Jesus Christ rose on THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK.
Question: "Do Christians have to observe the Sabbath day?"
Answer: It is often claimed that “God instituted the Sabbath in Eden” because of the connection between the Sabbath and creation in Exodus 20:11. Although God’s rest on the seventh day (Genesis 2:3) did foreshadow a future Sabbath law, there is no biblical record of the Sabbath before the children of Israel left the land of Egypt. Nowhere in Scripture is there any hint that Sabbath-keeping was practiced from Adam to Moses.
The Word of God makes it quite clear that Sabbath observance was a special sign between God and Israel: “The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant. It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested” (Exodus 31:16-17).
In Deuteronomy 5, Moses restates the Ten Commandments to the next generation of Israelites. Here, after commanding Sabbath observance in verses 12-14, Moses gives the reason the Sabbath was given to the nation Israel: “Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God has commanded you to observe the Sabbath day” (Deuteronomy 5:15).
God’s intent for giving the Sabbath to Israel was not that they would remember creation, but that they would remember their Egyptian slavery and the Lord’s deliverance. Note the requirements for Sabbath-keeping: A person placed under that Sabbath law could not leave his home on the Sabbath (Exodus 16:29), he could not build a fire (Exodus 35:3), and he could not cause anyone else to work (Deuteronomy 5:14). A person breaking the Sabbath law was to be put to death (Exodus 31:15; Numbers 15:32-35).
An examination of New Testament passages shows us four important points: 1) Whenever Christ appears in His resurrected form and the day is mentioned, it is always the first day of the week (Matthew 28:1, 9, 10; Mark 16:9; Luke 24:1, 13, 15; John 20:19, 26). 2) The only times the Sabbath is mentioned from Acts through Revelation, the occasion is Jewish evangelism, and the setting is usually a synagogue (Acts chapters 13-18). Paul wrote, “To the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews” (1 Corinthians 9:20). Paul did not go to the synagogue to fellowship with and edify the saints, but to convict and save the lost. 3) After Paul states, “From now on I will go to the Gentiles” (Acts 18:6), the Sabbath is never again mentioned. And 4) Instead of suggesting adherence to the Sabbath day, the remainder of the New Testament implies the opposite (including the one exception to point 3, above, found in Colossians 2:16).
Looking more closely at point 4 above will reveal that there is no obligation for the New Testament believer to keep the Sabbath.

During her years as the "seer" for the SDA church, she prophesied a number of predictions, which did not come true. One of the most blatant false prophecies she made was when she predicted before the American Civil war, that the Union would not be preserved but that the United States would be divided, slavery would not be abolished but England would intervene and declare war on the United States. Any student of history knows differently. But, like so many other false movements, these failed prophecies are swept under the rug and most Seventh Day Adventists today do not even know about them.
With the collapse of Miller's prediction that Christ would return in 1844, the movement needed a cause in order to survive. After the damage control had been completed... it was time for the SDA leadership to hammer out some kind of "theology" that could be used to attract new converts to their fold.
Ellen was always writing for the SDA denominational publications, and wrote a string of books. One well known book and still pushed hard by the SDA members is, "The Great Controversy." It is important to note that Ellen was a proven plagiarist. The explanation of the SDA Church for her plagiarism, that there were no copyright laws back then does not excuse her "borrowing".
SDA's often make every effort to appear "evangelical", joining in with inter-ministry groups and trying to "blend in" with the Christian community. However, make no mistake about it, they believe they are exclusively correct because they recognize and follow Ellen G. White. Among themselves, they mock the Christian's beliefs, calling our concept of salvation, "cheap grace". They privately consider themselves to be spiritually superior to the rest of us.
The SDA Church made this statement in their "Ministry" magazine of October 1981 and has never retracted it:
"We believe the revelation and inspiration of both the Bible and Ellen White’s writings to be of equal quality. The superintendence of the Holy Spirit was just as careful and thorough in one case as in the other."

❌Great emphasis is laid upon the teaching that the Sabbath day is on Saturday, and if a person does not keep Saturday as Sabbath, he cannot be saved. Ultimately, according to SDA theology, your salvation in the last days boils down to the day you worship on. Simply put, there is no salvation outside the SDA church. The Bible says we are saved by grace through faith and nothing more. Ephesians 2:8-9
❌Ellen G. White taught that all other churches except the SDA church were teaching lies from the Devil. Only SDA members are true and obedient believers; prayers spoken in other churches are only answered by the Devil. This is a man-made doctrine not found in the Bible.
❌They believe that in the last days just before Christ returns, only those worshipping on Saturday will be saved. They particularly believe that worshipping on Sunday will be the mark of the beast. They consider themselves to be the only true, remnant church and all others will be condemned in time. This is a man-made doctrine not found in the Bible. The mark of the beast will be a literal mark, either in your forehead or in your hand. Revelation 14:9
❌They firmly believe that Jesus is Michael the Archangel and this is the name used for him (Jesus) in the Old Testament; yet also believe that Jesus is God. Jesus is God, he is the Creator; (John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:16-17; Hebrews 1:1-6) whereas, Michael is just an angel, a created being.
❌They believe that the atonement through Jesus is not complete until He comes again, only your past sins are forgiven by grace up to that point. The Bible says that the atoning work of Jesus is finished, never again to be repeated. John 19:30; Hebrews 9:24-28
❌They believe in the "sanctuary teaching" that Jesus is now cleaning the sanctuary in the heavens before he can return to the earth. This is a man-made doctrine not found in the Bible.
❌They believe you will have to stand in the presence of the living God for judgment without a mediator. The Bible says that there is one mediator between God and men, and that is Jesus himself. I Timothy 2:5
❌They believe you can be sinless, also known as "sinless perfection". Meaning that a person can become sinless while they are still living on this earth in their physical body. The Bible says that all are born with sin. All throughout the New Testament, the various authors write about fleeing and resisting sin, they themselves struggled with sin. This is a man-made doctrine not found in the Bible.
❌They won’t tell you that early Adventists expected the literal second coming of Christ in 1843 and 1844 only to be disappointed. They won’t tell you that their 1844 "investigative judgment" teaching was born out of an attempt to cover over this false prophecy. Instead of repenting over this false date, they believe that Christ really came, but INVISIBLY in heaven. As an SDA you now enter a period of "investigative judgment" where every deed you do or don’t do is recorded for judgment day. You will even be judged for "idle moments" where you could have been more obedient. When Christ comes, every eye shall see it (Revelation 1:7). At the Judgment Seat of Christ, we will be judged. 1st Corinthians 3:11-15; 2nd Corinthians 5:10
❌They believe the doctrine of soul sleeping, which states that the souls of believers in Christ are not in heaven, but are sleeping in the graves. The Bible says those who were saved on earth by receiving Jesus Christ as their Saviour and died are now living a full and joyous life in heaven. Revelation 7:9-17
❌They believe in the final and total annihilation of the wicked, where they will simply cease to exist after the final judgment. This doctrine is in harmony with the Jehovah's Witnesses. The Bible says they will be cast into the Lake of Fire. Revelation 20:12-15
❌They do not believe in the eternal punishment of Satan and his fallen angels. They believe that the penalty for sinning against a Holy God is merely annihilation. Satan is the scapegoat; the sins of the believers are laid upon him, and he and these sins are finally burned up. The Bible says that Satan and his fallen angels will be cast in the Lake of Fire. Revelation 20:10-15
❌They believe in and demand vegetarianism. There is no place in the Bible where God demands this. There is nothing wrong if a person chooses to be vegetarian for personal or health reasons, but it should never be tied in with our salvation.
❌They believe you should revere their founding prophetess, Ellen G. White, viewing her as having the "spirit of prophecy" referred to in the book of Revelation. Ellen G. White's writing are considered as inspired as the Bible and are used as a authoritative source of truth. In spite of revering her, they won’t ordain women as ministers. Ellen was a proven plagiarist and therefore a liar. God's attributes are truth and light (I John 1:5-6), whereas, Satan's attributes are darkness and lying (John 8:44).

He's not telling me the truth about the judgment that's going on in heaven. when you trust Jesus you are forgiven at that very moment. that's not being judged at a later date .anyone that goes to heaven is already saved .there's no judgment in heaven except for whether or not you receive crowns. for what you did on Earth. it's not a salvation judgment .so even though he preaches as if you know you're saved he's turning it around now. and it opens the door to appear to be at work's religion;!! in spite of him saying it's not.

HEBREWS AND THE REST OF FAITH
The book of Hebrews in chapters 3 and 4 is not talking about resting on a day of the week or even commanding to keep the sabbath day. That's ridiculous. The context of the book is convincing Jews not to backslide away from Christ or apostatize. That there is eternal rest (heaven to gain) in Christ if they keep the faith and don't turn back to perdition, like returning to Judaism that won't be able to save them because only Jesus can. Therefore, keeping the sabbath day today is returning to Judaism, living under the Old COVENANT, staring down the New and stepping on the grace of Christ.
