  • The first compartment of the sanctuary is the courtyard. The courtyard is where we are covered and cleansed by the blood of Jesus. We are justified by faith through the blood of the Lamb in the courtyard. It is where we experience the imputed righteousness of Christ and are born again. Hosted by David Shin.

Please note the text in Genesis 4:17 that was used should actually be Genesis 4:7 not 17. Please please double check.
This is the KJV although you used another version. Genesis 4:7 “If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door....” I was lost when I could not find the text to support what you were saying. God be praised the message was received none the less!❤️

"If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.

Lovely personal message of the leper. Just as Jesus accepts me as I am and then cleanses me, I too must accept others as they are and allow the Holy Spirit to use me to help them to get to know Jesus as their Lord and personal Saviour.

Thanks, I enjoy your presentations. Just a point of correction, your reference to the "sin crouching at the door" is Genesis 4:7, not Genesis 4:17. I'm sure it is a typographical error

Is the 6;000 years actual or symbolic. If actual 2027 will be the end of the 6;000 years.

Oh, I forgot to mention this, this statement is before Cain kills his brother. It seems to me the crouching animal was to purge Cain's sin as in his heart he had already killed his brother

First is Genesis 4:7 not 4:17. Second, the last part of the verse, which you omitted, make clear that is not what "sin offering" as "scholars sugested" but "sin" that should be ruled over.

I agree with you. That isn't what Genesis 4"17 says.

You left out the 2nd half of the verse in Gen 4:7....which does not seem to fit with your interpretation of the word "sin". If it is a sin offering that Moses is referring to then how do you interpret the 2nd half of verse 7. Please explain. Also this verse precedes the death of Abel so I dont feel it is accurate to say that God was giving Cain an option after he had killed Abel. God was referring to Cain's attitude prior to Abel's death.
Thank you for your response... eager to learn.😊

Yes I totally agree ,I caught the same error that Pr. David Shin has made ,,I Listened to it Twice to make sure I heard it correctly ,,the Bible nor does the SOP back up what Pr. Shin or the Davison Prof. is Trying to say,,,I am truly surprised 3abn Did Not Vet this lecture more !!! On going back to above presentation for a 3rd time,[19:36] I see that Pr. Shin Even Got the Bible Text Wrong on his power point ,,,He refers to Gen.4:7 as Gen 4:17 ,,,,,We All Need to Be More like "Study to Show Thyself Approved "

Genesis 4:7 is referring to Cain attitude towards God of not honoring his offering. Cain kill his brother because her brother did the right way . Pastor have done wrongly referring to those verse.

      @drusauza8291 3 года назад

That may be so and I see your point. However it does not change the larger picture. But yes I will stick to sin personally and not sin-offering.

“It desires to control you, but you must rule over it." Also I wonder if this could be referring to an animal. Adam was given dominion over the animals but after the fall maybe they became wild. In that case the second part of the verse is fitting. The animal will resist but Cain must take control of it. Considering this translation: LSV
Is there not, if you do well, acceptance? And if you do not do well, sin [[or a sin-offering]] is lying at the opening, and its [[or His]] desire [is] for you, and you rule over it [[or by Him]].”

In Daniel 6:10, it says that the prophet Daniel, faced East everytime he prayed. Is it because of this? Facing East is facing the entrance to the Garden of Eden? Pastor, I looked up Genesis 4: 17, in my KJV, which is the only Bible I use, and it is different from the Bible you use. I am shocked.

Sin offering is NOT crouching at the door. The sin offering is Christ, as we all know. He does not crouch but stands tall. Only a predator like ‘a roaring lion’ crouches. Lambs do not crouch. What the verse is saying is that if you OBEY you will do well and if you DISOBEY you will have sin at your door Cain just like your parents Adam and Eve. Christ stands at the door and knocks. He is never CROUCHED at the door.

I disagree with what you said about Genesis 4:7 and that it talks about an offering is crouching. I have read the verse in multiple versions of the Bible and it sounds as though the Lord was warning Cain that Satan was waiting for him Crouching like a “lion” waiting to gain the mastery of him, but the Lord told him to resist. I can’t reconcile what you said in this video with the context of the chapter. You didn’t even sound convinced when you said it to me.

A car key that is never used to drive a car is akin to calling the sanctuary a hermeneutical key when the transgressions on Azazel can not stem the influence of transgressions being put on Jesus in Gethsemane. And do not quote paul or a letter from an apostle that because it is in the bible it must be so. What does Moses say? And in particular what does the sanctuary say .And if you open that one are you ready to be sacked from your job over it? Welcome to the beginning of the end.

I am trying to flow the Bible texts and Gen 4:17 isn't the correct verse! I have found another one from the first or second part. Kind of disappointed in that.

Pastor Shin you are not preaching to fellow theological students here. Hermeneutical is a word most people don't understand. Simple language is best.
