    I recently bought the Tecnifibre T-Fight 305 and I think it's a very good racquet for control and feel (even though the sweet spot feels small for my current recreational level), it feels really maneuverable and the ball comes out strong and fast with no effort!

  • @rogonzalez98
    @rogonzalez98 2 месяца назад +3

    Could you make a graph or some sort of diagram where you put all the racquets sorted by power, control, spin, etcetera while also rating them? All in one single image. That would be super valuable. Or maybe a pdf describing each one and having levels for each of the concepts (power, control…)

    Oohhh 😮 you picked the racquet I’ve just brought going from Wilson pro staff six one tour! I felt that the blade v9 was a feather 🪶 it has been very exciting to play with but when under pressure it doesn’t have stability as it’s so lightweight! Rocked shook in my hands at times guess it’s something you get used to! ??? Grisha I was surprised you didn’t mention it but you younger guys guess your used to lighter racquets but yes you are right it’s awesome 🤩

    damn, grisha actually being objective.
    been using 16x19 since i started playing but then i tried the speed pro and really loved the low launch angle so i began to look at 18x20s. tried the blade and it felt really good on the forehand but settled with the TF40 after watching gladiator's review. recently acquired the gravity pro though thanks to grisha's influence, and it's the first racquet I own that feels complete for my game (flat hitter).

      how far is the tf40 away from the gravity?
      i like the gravity pro, but it's just a little too heavy for me, which makes it very difficult to play for long periods of time. you notice the weight that needs to be moved.
      blade v9 18x20 vs. gravity pro vs. tf-40 18x20?

      @@mcmastermouss for sure. my favorite string in it for playability was actually solinco confidential, but confidential just doesnt sit right with me for some reason, but I felt like that really took away the flyers and had great control in the frame.

    • @mcmastermouss
      @mcmastermouss Месяц назад

      @@SimonSed Funny you mention this one. But I fear confidential won't solve the confort issue ! A few months ago, I demoed an old speed Mp with confidential. Super precise response, excellent directional/ depth control ( although less reliable for defense than my pure Drive) but sore elbow/shoulder after one hour of play ! Tried a couple of softer spin strings on the same frame but i was spraying way too much haha, so i went back on my old trusty pure Drive.
      Gonna try a couple softer set up on this Pure strike ( tour bite soft or triax at higher tension) as lynx tour is not working for me. But if I keep spraying i'll sell it !

    I just made a switch from my Radical MP '23 to the Blade v9 16*19 for the comfort. I also have a Speed MP '22 which with some added weight also played awesome for me. I could dominate with power with that one. But the Blade suits my attacking style a bit better.
    I also have a Prince Tour 98, nice comfort but for some reason I dont vibe with that racket.
    I really wanted to try the Babolat 100 16*20 (but I already have a Speed MP) and the Aero 98 but I dont the stiffness would be good for me.

    • @Estudio01deoctubre
      @Estudio01deoctubre 2 месяца назад

      Hi, I need your opinion between two of the models you mentioned. What are the differences between the head speed mp and the blade v9 16x19? I have the blade and I really like it but I think is demanding, at least for my tennis level. I was looking for the speed mp since is 100 sq head and a bit extra powerful. which one do you prefer? does the speed mp gives you more spin, free power without losing the control? does the blade feel more maneouvrable? do you lose power and spin with the blade comparing with the speed?

    • @wackojumey
      @wackojumey 2 месяца назад +1

      @@Estudio01deoctubre The Speed definitely has more Power, Spin and a higher launch angle (but not in an annoying way). Much easier to just pick up and play (and play well) with. The Blade is great but it sure asks for a lot more focus from the player and wants you to go for your shots with more confidence.
      Both sticks are also very nice for comfort although the Blade is more muted, maybe a slight edge to the Speed here as well because of the bigger sweetspot.
      Both are also great at net, no problems there, very manouverable (I am talking about the 2022 Speed MP not the 2024 version with the higher SW) although my Blade it's SwingWeight was a slight bit underspec at 317. I did however tweaked both to have around the 322 SW now.
      The difference in power and launch angle was for me the biggest difference during plays. But the Speed was in no way overwhelming with power like an Ezone, Extreme or Aero (100's) is where you have to spin to get any control. If you feel like the Speed has a bit too much of a launch angle for your game though, try it with a thicker round poly (I love it with MSV Bussard 1.25).
      - After my experience with both rackets I havent picked a clear winner yet since I havent been playing with the Blade for that long and did not have any exp with Blades before. I do with Speeds however. They both are in contention to become my main for next season (Not that I play at a high level or anything). The Blade seems the more logical choice since I come from a Radical and feels more natural on my serves, but the Speed is maybe more interesting in rallies where I can overpower the opponent more and with the Blade I have to play more tactical. Also I am still trying out different strings for the Blade, I now have Diadem ProX 1.20 strung but I am not so sure about that combo.
      - I think I would advise people, who have somewhat serious tennis experience (not beginners!) but arent sure what they need to go for in a racket, to always try out the Speed MP for a while. It is such a good middle-of-the-road type racket. Use it maybe as a platform to learn what your playstyle is and in what areas you want more or less from in the future. Other options maybe close to a Speed MP are Yonex Percept 100 and the Wilson Blade 100?

    Ezone 98 is #1 on my disappointment list. I tried so hard to find it superior to my old Pure Drive - I couldn't justify switching to it. Even more overpowered, no significant improvement in control, slightly less spin, same lack in feel. I agree that - just like the PD - it ticks all the boxes for a lot of players

    • @walidvanschie4115
      @walidvanschie4115 2 месяца назад

      I also had a old pure drive, and then tryed the blade v6 and v8 for a year. Coudnt play with it, then tried a ezone 98 served some balls with it and fell in love. Bought without testing it for longer than 2 mins. Now it is mine ride or die. @mtczrnk

    • @rbarreira2
      @rbarreira2 2 месяца назад

      Interesting, I thought it would be less powerful than the Pure Drive. Were you comparing it to the standard pure drive?

    • @mtczrnk
      @mtczrnk 2 месяца назад +1

      @@rbarreira2A standard, 2012 Pure Drive. To make things even more interesting, it was strung with a X-One Biphase @ 24/25 kg with some hexagonal polyester string @ 23/24 kg on the Ezone. Easier to get spin with the PD. Bear in mind that central mains spacing is more open on the Ezone, in my experience it led to slightly less control and slightly more power. Isometric design moved the sweet spot towards the tip of the head, which made it hard for me to assess the sweet spot size - they are likely similar.
      Testing Radical and Gravity today :p

The Head Speed MP for instance doesn't match my style and I've found the Blade 98 to be an absolute meh. The Yonex 98 however, I love it (and I'd probably would like the Pure Strike 98 if I could test it).
    So take these as recommendations for racquet to test, not racquets to buy.
