it depends, the 100D is a great racquet but as a couch not many racquets are better than the speed mp and ezone98, the mp is probably the best all rounder at the moment.
I currently have the ezone 98, got a lot of trouble to get used to, but once i found the way, its amazing, it does everything what i need, power, feel, control, tbh i love it.
I recently bought the Tecnifibre T-Fight 305 and I think it's a very good racquet for control and feel (even though the sweet spot feels small for my current recreational level), it feels really maneuverable and the ball comes out strong and fast with no effort!
damn, grisha actually being objective. been using 16x19 since i started playing but then i tried the speed pro and really loved the low launch angle so i began to look at 18x20s. tried the blade and it felt really good on the forehand but settled with the TF40 after watching gladiator's review. recently acquired the gravity pro though thanks to grisha's influence, and it's the first racquet I own that feels complete for my game (flat hitter).
For anyone watching this review. Listen to what he says about each racket. They may not match your style. The Head Speed MP for instance doesn't match my style and I've found the Blade 98 to be an absolute meh. The Yonex 98 however, I love it (and I'd probably would like the Pure Strike 98 if I could test it). So take these as recommendations for racquet to test, not racquets to buy. (and you should not care what endorsement the racquet has, since pro don't play with these frames - they just get paid millions to put their face on a racquet they've never played with)
Oohhh 😮 you picked the racquet I’ve just brought going from Wilson pro staff six one tour! I felt that the blade v9 was a feather 🪶 it has been very exciting to play with but when under pressure it doesn’t have stability as it’s so lightweight! Rocked shook in my hands at times guess it’s something you get used to! ??? Grisha I was surprised you didn’t mention it but you younger guys guess your used to lighter racquets but yes you are right it’s awesome 🤩
Thanks for the videos, really helpful. I would request you to suggest some good rackets that are pocket friendly. I saw so many deals in Amazon, like HEAD Graphene XT Speed MP Tennis Racket - Pre-Strung 27 Inch Graphite Racquet. Or Head 2022 Instinct MP Tennis Racquet. These are around $100. Are these worth buying now considering the price? Please suggest some good rackets during this Black Friday deal or the ones worth buying now. If you already have video on this, please share. Thanks.
Could you make a graph or some sort of diagram where you put all the racquets sorted by power, control, spin, etcetera while also rating them? All in one single image. That would be super valuable. Or maybe a pdf describing each one and having levels for each of the concepts (power, control…)
I just made a switch from my Radical MP '23 to the Blade v9 16*19 for the comfort. I also have a Speed MP '22 which with some added weight also played awesome for me. I could dominate with power with that one. But the Blade suits my attacking style a bit better. I also have a Prince Tour 98, nice comfort but for some reason I dont vibe with that racket. I really wanted to try the Babolat 100 16*20 (but I already have a Speed MP) and the Aero 98 but I dont the stiffness would be good for me.
Ezone 98 is #1 on my disappointment list. I tried so hard to find it superior to my old Pure Drive - I couldn't justify switching to it. Even more overpowered, no significant improvement in control, slightly less spin, same lack in feel. I agree that - just like the PD - it ticks all the boxes for a lot of players
I also had a old pure drive, and then tryed the blade v6 and v8 for a year. Coudnt play with it, then tried a ezone 98 served some balls with it and fell in love. Bought without testing it for longer than 2 mins. Now it is mine ride or die. @mtczrnk
@@rbarreira2A standard, 2012 Pure Drive. To make things even more interesting, it was strung with a X-One Biphase @ 24/25 kg with some hexagonal polyester string @ 23/24 kg on the Ezone. Easier to get spin with the PD. Bear in mind that central mains spacing is more open on the Ezone, in my experience it led to slightly less control and slightly more power. Isometric design moved the sweet spot towards the tip of the head, which made it hard for me to assess the sweet spot size - they are likely similar. Testing Radical and Gravity today :p
They're both good rackets. The Aero is a bit more controlled and offers similar levels of spin. I'd switch if I were you but I mean... The ultra is not for my tennis. That's why I would switch.
I feel like he wasn't being objective; just pedantic ... I think he's tried the Gravity 98 and is in love. But since it doesn't release till 2025 he can't put it on the list.
MAINLY NEED A DOUBLES RAQUET ,AGE 38 PLAY WITH PURE DRIVE LIKE THE STIFF FEEL BUT LACKS CONTROL ON FORHAND , WHICH OUT OF THESE TOP 3 WILL BE GOOD OR SHOULD WAIT FOR NEW PURE DRIVE
Get the Wilson shift. It’s fairly stiff but has a lot more feel on the touch shots. One thing is it doesn’t have a lot of control on certain types of flat forehands or drives… because it’s a bit shifty haha but for doubles that’s okay. Singles you want something a bit more for flat shots imo
Can you do the Grisha top 5 lifetime rackets video?I think that would be cool to see too!🎉 Top 5 Rackets List I am an average rec player looking to have fun. I mostly look for power/spin. This list will have a variety of frames as I collect them. 1. Head Speed MP Black/Legend 2. Prince Original Graphite 107 3. Babolat Aeroprodrive 2004 OG 4. Diadem Elevate 98 305 Gen 1 5. Wilson Ntour 95 16x20
Head rackets suck. Head has good marketing and many atp players use pro stock rackets painted like head actual models. But these pro stock frames are absolutely different from mass market versions
You're welcome:
5. Ezone 98
4. Head Speed MP
3. Babolat Pure Strike
2. Babolat Pure Aero 98

Well I thought Percept 100D should be in the list, way better than Speed MP and Pure Strike.
I love the pure strike
Depends. If you’re looking for control then yeah 100%.
in your dreams

I've just bought a 100D and it feels really stiff for me.
Hi Grisha, I recently enjoying your videos. Do you have top 5 strings recommendation for let’s say 2024? That would be nice i guess✌️

@Gladiators tribe - did Head give you the Head gravity tour 16x19 2025 edition try review? if so will the review be out shortly?
It's definitely going to be out shortly hahaha

I saw and bought a vintage Head TiS6 on a sports shop. I consider this as my best to go back to. I just like the feel of titanium and I’m 74.
Wooow that's impressive!! I totally get it tho

Interesting, I thought it would be less powerful than the Pure Drive. Were you comparing it to the standard pure drive?

What racket do you use?
Hi Gladiators! May I understand that these are 5 best rackets for all court players?
thoughts on vcore100?
Yonex Percept 100D, vecino. Ahora, grabas al lado de mi casa y en mi club (Vall d’Hebron). Cuando quieras jugamos ✌️ 🎾
What about the pure drive?!
hi, no RF01 pro? :/
In my opinion, the Yonex Vcore should be on the list
Could totally make it
I am so sick of the Wilson Blade.
Me too I personally don’t like the Blade. Not up to the hype anyway
Blade 104 with added weight is a great racket
Why? It’s a great racquet.
I’m am a aggressive player I’m currently using the Wilson Ultra v4 and I was thinking of switching to the pure aero should I?
They're both good rackets. The Aero is a bit more controlled and offers similar levels of spin. I'd switch if I were you but I mean... The ultra is not for my tennis. That's why I would switch.
Thanks for the advice
Что скажете насчёт head extreme pro 2024?
We NEED a Grisha's Top 5 rackets
Why do you think the 16x19 Blade v9 is better than the 18x20?
Really why do you think
Because high SW with less forgiving 18x20 doesn't appeal to most people and added control is only marginal gain for most
That's a good reply! I myself would go for the 18x20 though
ezone 100 is better than the 98. More forgiving and more pop on serve. Not sure if blade should be on there. its ok
Это для тебя лучше..Потомучто ты по мячу не попадаешь 98 башкой!! Да и 100й тоже не очень!!🤣🥎🤣
checkout Wilson Ultra pro 98 16x19 and the new Head Gravity 98
I switched to the pure strike 16x20 earlier this year I love it
Awesome!!
3:44 are you ok Grisha? Haha
Quick cramp 😂😂
What about yonex persept
This isn’t his Top 5 list. It’s the most racket sold. Do base spin on slice, backspin, kick serve, topspin?
I feel like he wasn't being objective; just pedantic ... I think he's tried the Gravity 98 and is in love. But since it doesn't release till 2025 he can't put it on the list.
Hahahahahaha 😂😂😂 Maybe maybe
Day 13 of asking grisha to shave. So long I’m mixing up my days
You said 18/10 blade was better
The GLADIATORS code does nothing :(
Doesnt combine with every promotion they already have on the website.
