I appreciated the short history you gave during the drive around. Always interesting how neighborhoods, or in this case, a who,e county, get the reputation of being bad or dangerous. Yet the place is full of people trying to live their life. Poverty makes many others look down on people, although many of these folks are ones that make a city function. Thanks Sifat for the tour today. The Bronx deserves attention and recognition too.

Being from the Bronx, I appreciate this. It's really annoying the rep the Bronx has with many people from in and out of NYC. Granted, there are definitely some rough parts. But guess what? I can go to Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and show people some areas that are equally as bad or some that may be worse.
The Bronx has many hidden gems and amazing food and it's mostly people just trying to get by in life.
Absolutely! I was born in Manhattan but grew up in the Bronx (Wakefield/Woodlawn) and it was peaceful.

Hopefully, in future videos, you will show more pleasant sections of the Bronx----Parkchester, COOP CITY, Throggs Neck, City Island, Riverdale, etc!!! Of course, the Bronx has many parks and cultural activities----Yankee Stadium, Orchard Beach, Bronx Zoo, NY Botanical Gardens, Fordham University, Manhattan College campuses, etc!!!! No, I'm not a cheerleader for the Bronx, I'm just a concerned native New Yorker who is tired of seeing the BRONX and STATEN ISLAND being IGNORED in the Walking Tour LIVE Stream Videos and also by the NYC Hospitality industry in general!!!!
I don’t know about having Parkchester on your list. Parkchester is pretty bad. I used to live in Coop City before I moved to FLorida last year. The place is going downhill IMO.

It’s true that the Bronx is no different than any other New York City borough. And the Bronx is not as poor as many people perceive it to be. It has improved compared to the 1980s and early 1990s. There are plenty of places, towns and cities much poorer and worse than the Bronx.
Have you ever thought about doing a video tour of the Museums in New York City and the 5 boughs? It would be very interesting to see something like that.

Hello Sifat I really like this driving tour through the Bronx . I noticed that they are a lot of cars that are double parked how are you able to move your car if you are parked next to the curb and there's another car double parked next to you . Just curious ??
We haven’t been to this area yet because all my friends suggested that it’s not worth to go and took a big risks!
So far I haven't seen any violence what is wrong with you people can't you find something else to find fault with new York city is just like any other big place it has it spots rough or good it's not perfect and it's not trying to be.

Some don't know about the 8 Thrid Avenue Elevated line that used to run. Older people that definitely knows about the Thrid Avenue Elevated that used to run there.
I enjoyed learning more about the Bronx. I know a lot of people from the Bronx but only been there around 10 times. Your tour help me to get a greater understanding of the Borough. It's very nice and so full of history.🙂

Officially South Bronx area consists of Claremont, Concourse, East Morrisania/Crotona Park East, Highbridge, Hunts Point, Longwood, Port Morris, Melrose, Morrisania, Mott Haven, Mount Eden. Hunts Point is stastically considered the most deprived area in South Bronx and the whole Bronx borough.
Well compared to what the Bronx looked like in the 70’s. This is a major upgrades. I have noticed they have been trying to fix up the south bronx over the past few years. The borough does have some nice safe neighborhoods in it. To bad the borough right now is the worst to live in due to the high rate of crime which leads the city.
The Thrid Avenue Elevated line used to run between Gun hill road Clearmount Webster Boston road Bronx between Gun hill road and 149 street. Until 1973.
You can walk around the South Bronx with cameras. Thank you for showing parts of the South Bronx I haven't seen in years!! I lived in the South Bronx for 40 years @149 and 3rd Ave, you past it twice your video. We have 8 banks in one block, and you have to get on a waiting list to get a safe deposit Box. we also have a mall, The Terminal Market which features one of the largest supermarkets, What time was your video? , I noticed that many of the businesses were closed and traffic was light, then I saw the trash bags for garbage pick up, which means it was after 6pm. Don't forget the Bronx has a BEACH! ORCHARD BEACH and the seafood capital, CITY ISLAND! what happened to YANKEE STATUIM!! it's considered the SOUTH BRONX!! THANK YOU!!
Yes, The South Bronx has a much higher violent crime rate than most areas in America, however it is not as dangerous as North Philly, West Baltimore or even parts of Hartford.
I live in the south Bronx area near third ave. It’s a low to middle income area. You did your research well. Some parts are very dangerous especially the Hunts point area. Every street you drove by is an industrial area. I was born and raised in the Bronx and also worked in the parkchester and white plains road.
It is not the worst part of New York city. That is only an old reputation that carries from back in the days. It is not the 70's anymore. Unfortunately, there are other parts of the city suffering a lot more crime and disfunctionuality.The South Bronx being the worst part of the city is an old reputation.

Your comments were very thoughtful, every area even influential ones have their pros and cons. Those old photos of the Bronx really do look like a modern war zone . You totally missed all the renewal that is going on in Mott Haven! There are a myriad of new luxury high rises and new stores and restaurants along Bruckner Blvd. and the other streets down by the river. The middle class is returning to the South Bronx because of the revitalization going on in Mott Haven. It it no longer a totally impoverished working class neighborhood as you've portrayed it. You owe it to yourself and to your viewers to make a supplementary video driving through that part of the neighborhood, and to change your narrative. Mott Haven is sizzling!
Unfortunately no neighborhood is safe anymore 🤷, so we all have to be careful when traveling in NYC.

Hunts point is infamous for the outside sex workers…great video I grew up here now im in manhattan
