He’s the most likeable training coach in the game. Make trainers cool, it’s great and awesome seeing him inspire others. He got that will and desire and it needs to be appreciated. Good traits to have and learn from him
Crazy thing is he wasn't that good of a shooter when he left WSU, but then he transferred to St. Bonaventure...He did average about 11 on 40% FG and 35% 3PT tho, remember he shot alot of 3s with the Bonnies.
Facts 💯 Gill and Chris I go shoot like 100 form shooting close and mid-range shots my arms are sore the next day. Like myself we had no trainers or social media trainers teaching how to shoot in the 80's and 90's. Players were self taught at that time. The new generation is very lucky now to have trainers to develop their skills early on.
They’re lucky but a bit too dependent on trainers that the creativity, and artistic value of basketball is gone a bit. No one has uniqueness, everyone seems to train with similar type trainers
Working with my 13 year old son and my 10 year old daughter. I do what my Dad did with me. Work from the inside out. Perfect your form from under the basket to the free throw line. 250 shots a day. Once those shots are down pack, then we move beyond the arc. Same form, every time.
I was always a very athletic player with a 46 inch vertical but couldn’t be consistent with shooting the ball and would get laughed at. Craig Hodges was my shooting coach as well. I already had looked up to him so it was easy to take directions. He really helped my game with shooting when my high school and college coaches didn’t want to take the time, whole time it was just a few things that needed to be tweaked.
@@BRONCOBOY7575 wouldn’t say that. U prolly just have a hitch in ur jumper. That kinda stuff is easy to fix. Just focused time and effort and repetition

The best shooters have always stepped 2-3 feet behind whatever line was marked as deep. The best push themselves. Becoming a form shooter happens age 13-16. After that most peoples Js are broke or wet. Takes a lot of work to change like Lonzo Ball but easier while making 8 figures.
If we got grassroots players how do we get in contact with a top trainer so we can actually give ours kids at a chance at be something in this sport we all love serious parent wanting too know

You want to see somebody with good form? Ask them to shoot the ball with just one hand only. That snap and rotation of the ball will show on those with that soft touch. Also very good for getting hitches out of shots. Usually it's that 2nd hand throwing things off on a hooper. Back to basics.
