That galeon 550 did pretty well all things considered i think. The 510 killed it but the conditions were lighter. 550’s Hull seemed to slice through the waves well, rocking and rolling probably couldve been minimized by speeding up some. Im impressed, i didnt think galeon was a very seaworthy yacht brand.
Thanks for the video . I especially like the frontal shots in rough water so that I can see exactly how these hulls work . A little flare here and and some fiberglass strakes there and what a difference . It's apparent that these modern hull designs have made up for the short comings of many a week end warrior . Just give me a ton of hp and modern composites and I don't need experience . Keep the videos coming !!!

On this episode we recount why you pull fenders in and store properly. You may have money to run trip and quads. But do you have money to replace fenders?

Looks like the Mateo guy lost his finder and the guys on the big boat picked it up and hung it where the Mateo guy could see it on their boat and claim it but when Mateo came back to look for it he passed by on the wrong side the big boat with his fender. The guys that found it were on the wrong side mid deck and didn't see him either. If he can afford the boat and gas.. he can afford a fender.
Is that him coming back for it right at the end of the big boat clip. Passed by in the background headed back in. Then you see him driving away in the next boat clip.

The smoothest ride was that Kubota. Very minimal wake as well.

That Galeon had to be on a sea trial, boats like that aren’t usually rock and rolling getn after it like that one was.
