I'm hopeful since the writer has at least got to be a fan, and any die hard fan knows it's so much more than just an action game. So while I'm normally a pessimist to these kinds of things, I'm a least a bit optimistic that the effort will be there ^-^
I’m just curious to see how this movie is going to turn out. They could make plasmids look amazing along with the Eve hypos and stuff. Especially the Big Daddies, that I can’t wait to see on the big screen. Lol But most importantly, how is Jack going to be portrayed in this movie?

I really hope they do not destroy the established lore. Obviously there will be add ons to the lore to keep the already fans engaged - I just hope it doesn't retcon what we already know. I'm really excited and worried!!
@@johnw8578 we will see. regardless, it is really exciting to (hopefully) finally see a Bioshock movie, especially since 2K did not agree with the last director. Hopefully that means 2K will be heavily overlooking the project.
Just want it to be faithful and not obliterate the lore. It could even clear a plot hole up by having Sofia Lamb be referenced in the areas from Bioshock 1.
I can imagine the splicers made by the same people that made the zombies in I AM LEGEND, and that gives me hope! They need to be that lethal to be brought to life!

I hope that they learned from The Last of Us’ success and stick to the actual game story/script instead of turning it into something unrecognizable like most video game to film adaptations.
Seriously, how are people still playing Bioshock 2 multiplayer when the servers closed? And how can we get it on modern consoles? Course, in my humble opinion, after hearing the WGA (or whatever it's called) voted yes on a ratification, maybe we could get rhe film by, hopefully, summer
I would love to see a Bioshock movie or series but I still remember when they bought all the rights to Narnia and that was like a decade ago and they did nothing with it. As of now nothing will come of Bioshock till 2026-2027 and that is if everything goes well.
They need to have actual red blooded libertarians also in the writers room. You need to actually understand the material to make the world feel real and have the philosophy satirized/criticized. . Otherwise this is gonna be some dork ass writers in a CW budget show with no real substance.
@@TheBioshockHub it needs to focus on the horror and the drama of the characters. Maybe take the guns out but leave some of the magic powers. Either way it's not an easy story to adapt in to screen
Netflix was considered as "good" because the One Piece live-action, it was just terrible to me. People suddenly went blind on this one, perhaps some others too.
But it could be a adaptation that does have differences which makes it different from some of the game elements the world is the same and story and some levels but you have to turn a first person game into a world where you see Jack’s face sander cohen could maybe appear but there is no mini game where you have to take pictures turning like hours of a game into a 1 or 2 hour long film

They probably will break everything. Sorry if I am pessimistic but I have been so disappointed in a lot of adaptations.
