    Idk why you think it's gonna take time for him to adapt to the cup car on road courses. Both the cars at indy road course and cota had mechanical issues. You can't really make judgements based off those results. I rewatched cota yesterday and he was easily moving up the field until 1st gear disappeared

    • @KauligNation
      @KauligNation  3 дня назад +1

      Because seat time is important. Allmendinger has had those same issues in his cup car and produced better results. It’s not a knock. Kaulig has issues but if you are talking about the INDY Road Course that was a trackhouse car. Issues happen. SVG has struggled on restarts in both series. These are things that will get better with seat time.

      @zack Strong point. Shane has a pattern of figuring it out by the last 3rd of the race as he did in his first race. It took him less then 70 laps to get the lead. His lap times before he got to the lead were the fastest in the field & it was his first time ever. We are about to see Shane return to these tracks & we pretty much know he is going to shine, as he dose.

      This is something I didn’t know and certainly helps me understand why there are struggles there. He’s either not aggressive enough or WAY to aggressive. I love his rivalry with Austin. But he does have to be careful and not build up to much of a reputation. That can carry over for years

      SVG is more comfortable in the Cup car. Many ‘experts’ said he’d struggle in the Xfinity car on road courses.

    On a previous post I said I expect Kaulig to sell one charter to Trackhouse and how the 25 season lays out from there. However, let’s say TH gets its third charter from Stewart-Haas so Kaulig has 2 seats to fill. First, we need to talk about what this year has been; people want to call it a “rebuilding year”, from the outside looking in it seems like a, “figure out how to keep the doors open”, kind of year. Matt Kaulig clearly has a passion for racing, but it is not how he pays his bills. Matt makes his living from business outside of racing, so in the end this race team is just a hobby, all be it a very large and expensive hobby, but still just a hobby. Matt might have a passion for racing, but it must make financial sense. I think we all know the only reason AJ isn’t driving Cup this year was because of money, what needs to happen between the 24 season and the 25 season to change that? (That is the biggest reason why I think they sell a charter to TH)
    There is no way SVG isn’t in the 3rd TH Cup car, so TH has to find a seat for Zane. I hope AJ is in the 16 cup car next year. If Justin and Matt put Zane in the 31 car funded by TH that would free up Matts money (or the money he influences) to support AJ in the 16 car. Have all 5 cup cars built out at the Trackhouse garage. This would let TH keep a closer eye on the development of Zane and AJ would get a chance to get real tier one support (or as close as anyone outside of HMS can get from Chevy). This would allow Chris Rice to focus on the Xfinity program and use whatever resource that gets freed up by the move of the Cup cars to the TH garage to improve the Xfinity program (or whatever it is called next year). Also, not having to fund a second cup car will allow that funding to support the Xfinity program. I don’t have any hard opinions on who gets the Xfinity rides, but with funding being less of a pressure the, “Driver Skill vs Sponsorship” calculation should swing more to the skill side.
    This plan would let TH function like a 5 car team and all the advantages that would bring (and still follow the 3 car charter requirement) it would let Matt follow his passion and keep his hobby. Matt would still have 2 cars racing on Sunday, AJ would be in the best equipment he has had in years. AJ would have a realistic chance to win on Sunday, Chris Rice get a chance to build a good B series program that TH can use and fund for driver development.
    As for going to Ford, you are absolutely right, Ford needs teams and drivers, I can see them making some good offers, but they cannot do it at the expense of RFK and Penske. The only way I see Kaulig moving to Ford is if Trackhouse or RCR move over as a Teir one team, I can see Kaulig following one of them as part of an alliance.
    Will these are my thoughts on it all anyway.

    • @KauligNation
      @KauligNation  3 дня назад +1

      Thank you so much for the detailed insight and the dedication to communication.
      I don’t think a charter will be sold from Kaulig simply due to market value atm.
      AJ is likely going back to cup next year is our guess. Cirkul seems to be supporting him more and Celsius has upped their support.

    • @ryanyount6975
      @ryanyount6975 День назад +1

      This is an excellent comment Steve and I agree with you on these points. The best action forward is to align closer with TH and become a 5 car team. Use The Xfinity program to utilize the pipeline of talent for TH and Kaulig and go from there. It seems like the right play but we will see if the teams agree with that direction.

    I'm thinking Nascar in general is in for a big shock which will be Josh Berry, Rodney Childers and most of the 4 team heading to Kaulig to lead the teams cup program. To even think of Kaulig going to Ford is the most ridiculous discussion ever so long as Kaulig Racing is based on RCR property with ECR building Cheverolet engines across the road, Ford would never let that happen and anyone who even thinks otherwise is an idiot!

      You expect a driver who has never even seen any of these oval tracks before, to be constantly running in the Top 5? At some of these tracks Shane has had no laps, prior to the race, as the practice and qualifying sessions have been cancelled. For a non oval racer to have ten top 15 finishes in their rookie season is a great achievement.

      No disrespect, but people seem to forget SVG is racing and beating guys who have been raised on ovals. He is consistently in the mix and improving, with only a dozen or so oval races to his name... ever! I fail to understand how you could say he will only be a road course specialist.
